fyi,
as part of adding more verification jobs on vdsm, infra recently added a new
job [1] that installs vdsm.
currently that job is working only on f19 and fails on f18 and centos64[2]:

fyi,
i've added a new job [1] to run on each patch for ovirt-engine.
the job runs dao-unit tests for ovirt-engine and it's run time is ~ 3 min.
important reqs:
1. job requires postgres & a db installed.
2. job runs only run changes to:
packaging/dbscripts/**
backend/manager/modules/dal/*
done.
thanks for the notice!

fyi,
recently few gwt jobs have been failing on out of space issue on some jenkins

after looking into it, it seems some f19 slaves have /tmp mounted on tmpfs.

if thinking on expanding this, some ideas come to mind:

hi,
following updated stats [1] on nightly downloads for fedora 18 on ovirt-engine,
do we want to stop building f18 nightlies and shift to build f20 instead?
we can keep the released RPMs for now, until f18 won't be supported anymore.
this means we can reinstall our current VMs running f18 as f20
i'm not sure we can do something about these failures other than add a retry
for it.
if the slave lose network connectivity to gerrit when it starts, it fails.

and again this is caused by vdsm-python-cpopen installed on the host by another
job probably.
so either vdsm will fix this in the spec file so it will not conflict with each
other,
or we need to find who's installing the vdsm-python-cpopen pkg.

fyi,
patch http://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/c/22614/ has compilation errors and currently
fails most of jenkins jobs.
the reason for jenkins not failing the patch is the short time between the new
patchset #3 was added (rebased)
to the actual merge time, so jenkins didn't have enough time to run on the
ok,
sandro - can we update the ovirt-testing repo with the latest pkg?
or remove the offending one?

The obvious is to enable wipe workspace per run, but i fear that will be
add much more run time per patch and that jenkins won't be able to handle the
queue of jobs, but it's worth a try.
i will enable it for now, and we'll monitor the queue size.

last david checked it was yahoo bots loading the gerrit.
not sure if he added new blocking rules to the http server to remedy that
we'll have to check with him on Tue (tomororow is a holiday in spain).

i think the new python-cpopen version 1.2.3-7 should resolve this,
as we've seen in other jobs.

fyi,
thanks to kiril we now how cacti statistics on all oVirt servers, which should
help us analyse and find the chock points
that mostly Jenkins slaves suffer from, so we can more accurately decide which
servers do we need to get for the new infra.
please spend a few moments before tomorrow in
