We are having problems with proxy02 running in RHEL-6. As part of the
bug testing, we have been asked to perform some tests to try and
localize the problem:
1) Turn off proxy-el5
2) Turn on proxy-el6
3) Turn off ipv6 on system and reboot
4) See if oops occur in 10 minutes (they show up

So I was asked to look at compression on log servers and to see if
changing to xz would save us some space. My test is not comprehensive
but showed what might happen.
Basic summary. XZ may save us up to 2% over what we are currently
saving but its real advantage is in speed of uncompressing files
Disk space pressure is from several trees but I think I can clean it
up with a removal of the 11 updates and some earlier staging from
earlier this year. I need someone to agree/disagree with this (eg +1
or -1)

We have updated the Publictest and stg.fedoraproject.org servers to
RHEL-5.5 The postgres server on db01.stg.fedoraproject.org has been
updated to postgres84. Please test applications to make sure they are
working. We are hoping to update the rest of infrastructure next week.
