Hi, I'm always finding that I wish I had been logging a statistic on a link that suddenly shows a problem.
I would like InterMapper to assume that if I put a link on a map, that this link is important to me, and to automatically start a log file for it and start collecting all the available stats. If I decide I don't want stats on the link, I should be able to manually stop logging. Auto-added links? Yes, I believe I'd like logging for them as well. They're on the map, so they should be logged. Proliferating log files? Answer 1: Disks are big these days - don't worry about it. Answer 2: put in a preference item to automatically log new links (or not).
