If I edit a map, say, change a probe on a device, and then click
'Don't Save' when I close the map window, the device probe is still
changed when I re-open the map!! and the changes maped that
_should not have been saved_ is indeed saved - as there is now way to

I use im 4.3.3 and yesterday I have tried im4.4.b. This version has a
problem using snmp-cisco( v2c). The if-indexes on a new device are n’t
discovered , and on old maps there is n’t any snmp data for the existing
if-indexes.

My experience is, that the Cisco 35xx can also act as a router, so
when IM query what type of device it is, it get's a Heya, I'm a
router... responce and query after that.
Simply setting the Behaviour to Switch and Show unnumbered interfaces
(+Reprobe) clears the 'error'.

It's works ok using versionVersion 4.3.3 (Traditional PPC/MacOSX, Build
58293), so the problem would be the beta version.
