*SEND RESUME TO ji...@pcsionweb.com <ji...@pcsionweb.com>* *Location: NJ* *Locals Only* *Interview: Telephonic + F2F* *Responsibilities:* • Analysis of requirements to understand fully the environment into which the Cognos infrastructure is to be installed and maintained • Provide guidance to architectural specialists on required infrastructural elements and assist with architectural design • Plan for the installation and initial configuration of the Cognos suite of products in multiple, virtualized environments • Apply any / all required patches and updates that are required • Ensure necessary Government security settings, integrity checks and system scans are performed • Participate in Cognos software upgrade impact analysis, upgrade planning & implementation. • Document all installation / update / deployment / DR processes and procedures, best practices, guidelines, etc. to facilitate repeatability • Transition the installed systems to the Operations & Support team for ongoing sustainment • Assist Operations staff with ongoing support as required • Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members • Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented for your sphere of influence • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision *Required Qualifications:* • 6+ years experience implementing enterprise-scale reporting systems based on Cognos • Experience working in SUSE and Windows environments utilizing VMware or any Virtual platform • Requires superior communication skills for interaction with both internal and external teams • Excellent interpersonal ( verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external and customer teams • Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities • Requires leadership qualities to mentor junior members of the team. Education Required: · BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is preferable.
