*UNIX Systems Architect Responsibilities:*

Produce detailed designs and cost estimates for midrange server solutions,
adhering to architecture standards

Develop and implement strategy and execution plan for server consolidation
and virtualization

Engage on Business Unit projects to elicit requirements, specifications and
project scope
Research and implement server management tools and utilities
Develop and document midrange server operations and monitoring processes
and procedures
Research and test midrange products and tools to maintain currency and
enhance functionality
Provide Level 3 diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting when required
Perform short-term and long-term server capacity planning
Prepare budgetary presentations for senior management

*Requirements :*

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline is
required
8 years of experience working in complex midrange server environments
Extensive server hardware product knowledge to include:
IBM x-Series servers including x3550 and x3650
IBM p-Series servers including p720, p740, p750 and p770
Extensive server Operating System product knowledge to include:
RedHat Linux v5.x, v6.x on x86 and LPAR
SUSE Linux v9.x, v10.x and v11.x
IBM AIX v 5.x,  v6.x, and v7.x
Oracle AIX v10.x, v11.x
Oracle Linux v10.x, v11.x
Veritas Volume Manager, and VCS
Extensive knowledge of Virtualization technologies to include:
VMWare VSphere v4.x
IBM PowerVM and VIO Solaris zoning (including Oracle implementations also)
Working knowledge of SAN and storage technologies to include:
IBM arrays
NetApp Filers
EMC Arrays
Working knowledge of Backup technologies to include:
IBM TSM, EMC Networker and Symantec Netbackup
Oracle RMAN utility
Role : Unix, AIX L3
