*Sr. Web Developer * *Location:* Pasadena, California *Duration:* 1+ year Client ::Confidential *Phone and In-Person* *Job Description:* The Web Development Group is responsible for developing and maintaining methods, which organize and deliver information generated from every area of the firm to our client and its affiliates. After fully understanding the business issues, a web developer must design, develop, deploy and maintain applications, which present information via the corporate Intranet and the public Internet . The individual must exhibit a high level of creativity and independent problem solving. *Responsibilities & Duties:* Develop detailed web design and programming specifications, support the daily activity of the business areas by creating and maintaining custom web pages while providing technical support for systems. Design and develop delivery of new content on the various external websites. Responsible for the development of multiple projects to fill needs as defined by the project manager in a timely manner, working specifically in the field of web development (internet, intranet, extranet). Serve as graphic consultant in development of functionality, look, feel and navigation of all web-based applications. Responsible for assisting in translating the company branding strategy to a physical web environment and see that this brand is maintained in all future development. Perform tasks as required for the development, implementation and continuing operation of various systems including: the company extranet, intranet, public website and internal web applications. *Competencies:* Proven capabilities in website design, and web development. Has some business technology knowledge of applications development processes and methodologies Uses solid business knowledge to develop rapid proactive solutions for significant business issues. Clearly understands purposes, objectives, practices, and procedures of the department and business units Maintains a solid knowledge of corporate and departmental information system strategies Demonstrates proficiency in systems analysis of business requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees at all levels throughout the organization *Academic Qualifications / Minimum Requirements:* Undergraduate degree in related field. Experience may offset academic requirements. Experience in advanced web development, HTML, CSS, RSS, JavaScript and XML required. Experience in UX/UI design and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator required. Understanding of branding, typography and design principles required. Experience with Responsive Design, Foundation framework, HTML5, Cold Fusion, IIS, jQuery, and Adobe InDesign desirable. Experience using HP Autonomy TeamSite or other web content management systems a plus. Experience using Adobe Analytics and other web analytics system a plus. Experience in SEO a plus. Knowledge in video streaming (e.g. Wowza, JW Player) a plus. Knowledge of relational database environment (SQL/Oracle preferred); client-server concepts, (3 tier architecture concepts preferred) and GUI development concepts preferred. Understanding of investment processes and Fixed Income markets a plus. Experience with Microsoft Windows, basic word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
