KH-005 Technical Lead 3-15-17 Location: Onsite in DC Metro Area Status: C2C and H1 are OK Duration: Long term *Job Description* The Technical Lead is a technology leader responsible for setting the technical vision for the “path to production” of our data analytics applications. In this role, your responsibility is to provide technical leadership across all areas of the test, build, release and operations, to ensure quality delivery of technical solutions. You will be responsible for leading, recommending and developing technical architectures, tools and processes that support the automation of environment management, build, testing, deployment and support processes. *Leadership* · Provide technical leadership for the project lifecycle from testing to build, release, support and operations, to ensure successful delivery, primarily with Microsoft technologies supporting Business Intelligence applications. · Create presentations for Senior Management (using PowerPoint and other tools) of high quality, using information assimilated from multiple sources, distilled to clear, impactful slides. · Perform independent system analysis, establish product specifications and plan implementation activities across multiple operational districts. · Provide leadership for the creation and management of test plans, including system and regression testing. · Provide technical leadership and direction for Software Test Automation strategy, including API or Web Services testing (Selenium, Agile and Waterfall model), · Responsible for team management, performance reviews, mentoring, and technical guidance. · Be the thought leader for DevOps for the commercial applications. · Lead a continuous improvement process for DevOps, with individual roadmaps and focus points for the different products and development teams · Explain and educate on DevOps systems, processes and benefits to all levels of the organization · Identify opportunities to improve ITSM Key processes and Critical workflows *Architecture* · Collaborate with the architecture team and support teams to set the DevOps technical vision, target architecture, tools and processes across the heterogeneous integrated Java and .Net application environment · Lead the project to implement the DevOps technical vision · Contribute to and influence the wider commerce architecture to ensure the application and deployment architectures are aligned to and supported by the DevOps architecture, tools and process · Create and maintain accurate documentation of the DevOps architecture, tools and processes · Develop, mentor, train, and support the team of developers to build a culture of DevOps being everyone’s responsibility · Work closely with the team to ensure they are effectively and efficiently integrating DevOps into our solutions *Development* · Rapidly prototype new ideas and concepts · Estimate the duration of design and development tasks · Take a technical and development leadership role on projects with a significant impact on the architectures, or DevOps tools and processes Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Masters Degree preferred. · Mastery of DevOps tools and processes including source management, build, dependency management, packaging, artifact repositories, and deployment (e.g. *GIT, Jenkins, TFS, Octopus Deploy, Chef, Puppet, Nexus, NuGet*, *Maven, msbuild, scripting languages*) · Experience in DevOps in a private *cloud, public cloud, or hybrid cloud* environment · Experience in DevOps supporting both Java and .Net applications.
