POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Title of Position: Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy Starting Date: Mid- August 2003; One-Year Sabbatical Replacement, Academic Year Appointment. Responsibilities: Full-time undergraduate teaching at both lower and upper division levels; research toward publication and normal departmental committee assignments. Qualifications: -- Required: Ph.D. in Philosophy prior to appointment. -- Desired: Area of Specialization: Asian Philosophy. Areas of Competence: Open; must be able to teach History of Modern Philosophy, Symbolic Logic, and Introductory Ethics. Evidence of excellence in teaching.
