The GQRP Solar Activity guide mentioned below is worth checking out. It
has some cool graphics and tables, presented in one concise page.

IRCA,
I have been listening to two stations battling it out on 1130
One is carrying classic country weekend, the other seems to be ESPN. I
thought that I caught O as letter of a call. Commercials for
ice-fishing.com on one. During commercials it is frequently difficult to
determine which
I think you live in Iowa ? Anyhow..this sounds like KWKH which is easy when
on day rig near SS/SR and ice fishing.com site is mostly about Minnesota..so

One frequency774. Quite listenable audio at 1535UT, but faded
down to the mumble that has passed for TP audio here in January, now
it's back at 1539UT with man in Japanese talk.
But 747 and 594 had tiny carriers; 828 and 1566 were stronger but
nowhere near audio, and other carriers were
1116 4BC, AUS faded up 3 very brief times at 1453, 1515, 1520 utc. Later on,
1525-1540, there were weak hets from Asia, 639, 774, 792, shown by the loop,
but no audio.

This one gets inland rather well. A friend of mine in central IL with a K9AY
and a quiet spot was able to just get good enough copy last season to //
their webcast. I have had a couple decent hets, but I rarely get up early
enough for TP's here and if KMOX has IBOC on early, well..1116 is not
KSM is presently (2354 utc) sending the weather broadcast on 426 kc. I'm
copying KSM on all freqs at the moment.
Note it's on 6474 not 6477.

The few times I have checked this channel, I have had a stout carrier
(5-10 db above the noise) in the morningds. No audio yet. Other
TP/DU carriers include 738, 774, 1017, 1098, and 1566.

Opinions
I'm hearing my local on 1450, WCTC, with harmonics on 2900 and 4350. The
tower is about 5 miles away. Should I be hearing their harmonics at that
distance? Would they appreciate a note from me about this, or not?
Thanks,
Dave

Right now I'm getting a station on 1560 with satellite oldies, IDing as
Oldies 92.1 and Eastern Oregon's Goodtime Oldies. It's been
dominating the channel on the K9AY with KNZR phased down.
This is apparently KVAN Burbank, WA, relaying KLTB-92.1 in nearby Pilot
