Walt,
Thanks for verifying WYFR Taiwan. It's a new country here. I often get a
decent carrier on 1557, but with the local being 7 kHz away they really tears
up the frequency. I will check out Colin's site and listen to your recording.

Pat,
Thanks Pat, happy with hearing WYFR Taiwan. My hearing is not what it used to
be. Working under a conveyor line for about 10 years at Ford Motor company
gave me some hearing loss. Right now 1346 ut have a station on 1116, sounds
Asian, hoping it would be the DU on the frequency.
No stations with audio this morning but I did get carriers on: 558, 594, 648,
666, 693, 729, 747, 756, 774, 828, 873, 972, 1053, 1278, 1287 and 1566 heard
from 1310-1350 UT. The carrier on 1287 was strong at times but got no audio
from it.

When I have the R8B in cw mode here is no audio note like there is on the JRC

The instructions say have selectivity set at 1.8 bandwidth. Any help much

Dennis,
Are you able to switch back and forth between radios with the same antenna
and hear it the JRC and not the Drake?
The most reliable bands to find signals at night are 80 meters and 40
meters. 40 meters can go dead at times lately, however. Can you hear CW on
one of the sideband modes

I just heard via Glenn Hauser's WOR that 5920 via Chita, Russia broadcasts WYFR
