1. RADIO STATION BUMPER STICKERS
I have two bumper stickers from ALIVE 95 in Cleveland, TN. These were given
out as promo material about 10 years ago, and I have no need for them. It
reads, ALIVE 95 SUPERSTATION 95.3 95.7 93.9
If there is anyone who collects radio station bumperstickers I will
Paul,
No I don't anymore. I did 30 years ago but not any more. My tapes of
my receptions serve as my QSLs these days. :)

I heard no audio and only a few carriers but after 1335 it got better with many

I heard this early this past week at Burnt River ON.
I'd read about it here awhile ago, but forgot to
check. But heard a het on 530 while DXing and noted
LYQ as the cause. Then a day or so later it was
completely absent. This would explain...

Friends,
Our leave-taking from Orcas Island, WA was delayed about 12 hours
last Monday due to 90+mph winds, power outages and a totally messed
up ferry schedule (hey, 90 mph winds will DO that!) However, after a
rocky start, it was smooth sailing across the Great Basin and down

I just acquired an Eton E1XM and am thus far quite impressed with it.
However, since it does not have an internal ferrite rod antenna like my
venerable ICF-2010, I need to find a compact, outboard, rotatable antenna
for portable use on the BCB (and also on the NDB/LW band too, if such a

Hi gang
I had the SDR-IQ record 705-895 all night, and spot checked the results..
747 and 774 were producing audio by 0740 and were there the rest of the
night, often quite well.

Yep, that says it. The propagation monitor recorded that it was
better overnight compared with yesterday, but that things weren't as
good closer to sunrise. Listening here was at 1400UT, 1425UT and

Good Evening:
Did not DX this morning. Needed a break from getting up early. While at
Westport I took along a pocket radio, Sony walkman SRF m37v. It covers AM-FM
and weather channels. It's hard for me to fall asleep. The best thing for me
is to listen to Phil Hendrie. I'll be asleep
Dennis,
Yes, KPAM puts little signal this way and the more North you are, the
less as they have to protect CFPR, 10 KW ND.

It's not bad. It does NOT like strong signals. I have
a $49 one that's better but couldn't find it this AM.
In Silverstreet SC I was greeted on 600 with WMC Cedar
Rapids. Normally WSJS pounds in.

Powell,
Yes your right about the selectivity. KPOJ 620 can be heard on 640. The nice
thing about Westport the nearest station is over 20 miles away and it's low
power.

I do a lot of DXing with this one. I've got 31 states and 4 Canadian
provinces with it including CHRB in High River, Alberta. I get probably
40-50 hours on the single AAA cell. The Wx channel is a joke on mine.
Terrible selectivity. 73, Chris Johnson K2FO Taylors, S.C.

Anyone needing KXMG 1150 might try this evening. S-9+55db here, six miles from
the transmitter.
I'm using the fence antenna which favors the NE (KXMG SE). And KXMG directs
their power to the Southwest. Mighty strong signal for 67 watts. No way I can
hear KSL 1160 on the JRC with the
Man, that's incredibly cheap for ocean front. You couldn't get that for 10
times that price in most places in BC, especially on Vancouver Island!

It really surprise me how much land is available between the highway and the
beach front. Many lots that people have bought and have not built on yet.

Still looking for info on an antenna to use with my Eton E1XM. Has anyone
used the Select-A-Tenna products? If so, which of the three models would you
suggest for use with my Eton? Thanks again.
