Congratulations on your Dx session at Grayland.
At grayland on 531 kHz, I did hear back to back pop
songs at 1041 ut. No ID. Latter at 1258 JOQR 531 was
in with Japanese. This was with the JRC 545 and a 800'
bog. Your reception was great, using a utralight and ferrite loop
antenna.

Your non-stop pop mx station on 531 must be 2PM, as they are known to go
long periods without an ID. 4KZ IDs much more often. 2PM is common here
when there is any DU on 531. Too date, I have 2KM/2MC/2PM; 4KZ, 6DL,
1XPI, and 4XA (Now More FM) Alexandra hrd QSL'd from Aust/NZ. Never
caught

Thanks for your comments, and I'm sure another Ultralight DU will show
up at Grayland sometime, maybe even this spring if somebody tries seriously.
Besides the 531 unID, I had decent audio on 4QR-612 for about 5 minutes
around 1310, on the ICF-2010 with the
1240 KOFE ID, St. Maries, good on top with This is KOFE St.
Maries at 0458 EDT 4/19. Into Peace Train by Cat Stevens. (PM-OR)
1240 KCVL WA, Colville, fair o/u KOFE with KCVL weather report
at 0459 EDT 4/19. (PM-OR)
1330KNSS KS, Wichita, fair on top with News radio 13-30

531 3GG. Not knowing much about MW stations in Australia, wonder if it
could be them? They played (IIRC) lots of 70's oldies - that seemed
like what I read from you, on another post. Hopefully you can find

Gary - I misread some of the posts on your fine DU logging of 531. I
thought that I read Carpenters, Helen Reddy and such but that was from
another DX'er. Yours was classical. Sorry.

Thanks for reporting on the 531-DU signal, and format. After all the
information from the experienced DU DXers, especially the station's pattern of
playing music without breaks (for ID's or anything else), it now seems
pretty obvious which station showed up on the SRF-T615

and baled out the check other channels.
Assuming I was hearing 2BL on 702 with sports news.
The signal when from good to gone in about 2
minutes. My DU jinx continues even at Grayland, hi.

Very unlikely 3 Double G, as they null the NE. They have to protect both
2PM 4KZ. I have never heard 3GG here and I have well over 200 Aussies
QSL'd on MW.

2BL 702 was hrd at my deathly quite DX paradise 2nd home in WI in Sept on a
480 ft BOG at 245 deg that totally killed WLW in Sept, I'd also say YES.
I need to check 531 if DU's are in again, as I've had a carrier there in the
past and there's not severe QRM from 530 at dawn.

I know it's hardly worth reporting this, but I'm amazed that there is still any
Euro signal this late in the season.
At any rate, poor to fair carrier on 1215 kHz at 0415UT and for a few minutes
afterwards. Still waiting (maybe vainly) for it to return. No others noted
however.
