I hope someone can send Penn State football links. Several stations I've
listened to via the internet no longer carry PSU, and some appear to have some
sort of buffering problem. I'll hear about 1 minute of the broadcast followed
by a 20-30 second pause, and then a minute of the broadcast
Doug,
Living in the shadows of Beaver Stadium I never have to use an Internet
stream, but here is the PSU football radio network station list:

Although I can't test them now (too early before the game), here are
Conditions seemed to be mixed this morning. It started out quite dull
but got better towards the end.
The big NHK stations were way down, except for brief peaks on 747
774. Some Chinese signals were much better than normal, as was Taiwan
738. For some reason, 738 is a regular for Gary
A mixed bag this morning, very much inproved around 1400Z. 2 minute Perseus
file 1259-1301Z was poor with only the powerhouses in at unimpressive strength.
1400Z was way better. Checked 1170 per Bruce's log and had the YL giving the
URL, surprisingly clear. Taiwan on 1161 was new one here
TP signals were down here considerably from yesterday, with decent audio
only received from the regulars:
558 unID
567 Japan
585 unID (traces of weak audio)
594 Japan
675 unID (very faint traces of audio)
693 Japan
738 unID
747 Japan
774 Japan (the strongest signal today)
828 Japan
972 S.Korea

Hello All,
The Chinese TP's were really strong here this morning, and several
Mainland stations had their strongest audio ever. 981-CNR1 was really booming
in on a very noisy frequency (980-CKNW is a daytimer here, and Seattle
noise from 950 and 1000 doesn't help) for a first-ever
Hi Gary:
There are quite a few logs of Japan on 639 from Grayland. Until the sunspots
got so low around 2005, I'd say Japan was the #1 log on 639. Maybe you have
some recordings of the NHK big guns around that time? Perhaps the announcers
can be matched up.

The interference problem on 1130 in the CKWX coverage area might be happening
because there is a significant reduction of ground wave strength east of the
flatland Tx location due to a rapid rise in topography (just a few miles east
of
the Fraser River delta),which is higher than the height of
Thanks Chuck,
Your suggestion is appreciated.
I did see several NHK2 loggings on 639 made in Grayland and Masset years
ago, and it does seem like the most likely possibility for a CNR1 co-channel.
I'll review the 5 minute 639 kHz Mix recording again for more clues, and
see if I can make
