Rewired the fence antenna this evening and when I was finished I turn on the
receiver to check out
the fence antenna. Turn to 1130 kHz and KPNW had a normal strong signal here.
Exactly at 6:30 P.M. PDT
KPNW signed-off. CKWX then dominated the frequency. 45 miles North of
Hi Walt,
I'm happy that your TP results this morning were halfway similar to mine.
Yesterday was the first time in 4 years of TP-DXing that I ever saw
completely opposite results among the local gang, in which one DXer had a
lengthy
list of only DU's, while another had only a list of

Greetings To All,
An interesting evening , propagation wise , to say the least. The night began
as usual with TA's in and out along with the ongoing heavy static and noise
levels as experienced during the past number of days.
The exception to this was between 1:30 and 3:00 UT/14 when a

Hey Rick;
WJTB-OH 1040 as been guilty of this, in the past. The only Cleveland
area DX'er that I know of is Michael Procop and he verified that they
were the guilty party, the last time which was last year, IIRC. I will
try to listen for it tonight.

Hello All,
Asiatic propagation in general took a dive this morning compared with
yesterday's diverse results, but freakishly strong propagation was back
again for a select few Japanese stations. Whereas Chinese, Russian and Korean
signals were down considerably from yesterday,

Wow, what a mess. 1130 is pretty much equal in strength here in Victoria from
CKWX and the OR SS station. Not good for anyone! 6:14pm local..Walt

Albany, Ohio. They always did best at LSS, and I can't recall ever hearing
them before at night. Topazdesigns doesn't list them as //103.1. WRIX-AM is
on 1020. I wonder if they are only //WRIX, 103.1 at night.

Still here loud clear @2200, but this time, You're listening to the Dennis
Miller show on we {click} {pause} AM 1280, WANS, Anderson, and, again, into

Well, that Asian opening yesterday, such as it was, was a brief flash in the
pan. This morning was considerably more laid back, with only a couple making
the top grade of listening, and that only around 1430UT, after starting at
1345UT, and checking back several times in disbelief at how poor

I agree with everyone else. This was kind of a humdrum morning, with
routine appearances by many of the regulars. It was almost all Japan
here. Koreans were especially weak, and only a couple of Chinese
stations made appearances.

Walt,
This does not surprise me as there have been reports from even Burnaby,
