Hi Nick,
After listening to a dreary MW band this morning, I think that all the TP-DXers
will be in total agreement that it wasn't as lively here as the day previous.

Hello All,
Asiatic signals suffered a major drop off here this morning as even the big
gun TP regulars struggled to produce any audio. 594-JOAK was one of the few to
be heard with poor Japanese talk at 1310, but even 747-JOIB and 774-JOUB stayed
at carrier levels. 657-Pyongyang and the
TP conditions really down this morning. No Russian long waves heard. Alaska 209
CYT made it in with weather forecast. Australian's in just before sunrise. 792
4RN seems to be the most consistent Aussie here, usually has the best signal.
JOAB 693 came in late this morning and heard best on the
This morning was no where near as good as a week ago for DU's or west coast DX,
whereas I had tremendous signals from Colorado. It seems that the hop needed to
get west coast stuff in well wasn't very good this morning.
Normally when I have decent low band DU activity I am getting west coasters

I certainly don't feel left out then. This morning was mostly in

I know some have been waiting for further loggings from me, from my cliff
top DXing on the Oregon coast. I just haven't been able to keep up with all
the activity found on the daily 35-45 minutes of Perseus WAVs recorded from
Sept. 9-12th! As I've mentioned, I'm on a family vacation so other

Hi Guy,
It seems that you are rapidly catching on to the best survival strategy for
these Oregon cliff family vacations...
Hit the TP-DX hard in the early mornings, and (to keep up with the family) hit
the caffeine-laden drinks hard in the late afternoon.
Congratulations on your DXing success
All those TPs from yesterday completely vanished today, with not a
trace of any audio from Asian. I did note a few channels with audio
(702,774,819,828,891), but all were from Australia. All were very weak,
with the exception of 702, which was quite decent at times, especially
around

From West Michigan, listening from 1100-1125 UTC this morning (1123

657: Around 1110 UTC I noticed a fairly decent carrier on the waterfall
producing 5 second long dashes where the signal would peak for five

I meant here that I always felt that under weak signal, SSB mode would
deliver better audio with lesser noise.
Sorry for the confusion. Worth trying in any case...

I cheated this morning running my Perseus, and a nifty minimalist
program called Mestor, which records wav files simply. Had a look at
wav files over the 12:00 TOH, and 12:30 BOHvirtually nothing at
all. Certainly no audio. Even 13:00 wasn't all very good. By 13:10
or 13:15, things started
