Just received this from Greg Gade, the chief engineer for Clear Channel Omaha

a tour of KFAB's transmitter...

Not much of an enhancement at sunrise this morning, but I did need to leave for
work in the middle of it, so maybe exciting things happened after 1545UT. To be
honest, things seemed better just after 1400UT, when JOBB-828 and HLCA-972 (been
awhile since I heard from them) at reasonably fair
This isnt some kind of transition period, the company that owns WQTM has
done this format in other locations.
I worked for a former WQTM sister station that had a similar format.

At 0150 UTC, fairly steady good signal with WQEW's IBOC hash phased down (of
course the skywave angle keeps changing constantly), with alternating male and
female announcers in FF. Sounds like French ad with music @ 0158 UTC

Another night of TA carriers, but this time slightly better, with
even bits of audio of 1215 and 1422. Decent carriers at times on
1206,1377,1413,1431,1458,1548,1557. It's a case of needing to be in the
right spot at the right time as signals are going up and down very rapidly.
Good TP
Too bad that KMOX's IBOC is so strong here :(

Pretty serious carrier on 1215 this evening, 0430UT, and just the
slightest traces of rock mx...webstream being painfully slow, so
couldn't get a parallel.
Other carriers, 855 quite good and steady, 873 882 909 999 1089 more whispery

A very good morning on the upper part of the band, and better on
the low end than I've had in several weeks. Listened from 1420-1510,
with the lower band gradually fading after 1440, while the upper end
gradually improved towards sunrise. The best TP signal overall was on
1557, very
HLAZ-1566 likely w/man talking at 0745UT, too weak for language ID;
1287 has moments of talk also.
