It's unlikely that WOR 710 will drop HD Radio any time soon.
Clear Channel is a big player in the (God forsaken) HD Digital Radio Alliance.
They are the cheerleaders for iBiquity and company.
Without HD Radio, how could station owners break the rules to get HD-2s and

Hi Karl and all
I sometimes listen to WCBS 880 over the internet, but annoyingly they block the
local adverts and insert public notices or music which sometimes stops abruptly.
Back in the 60s here I heard the real thing on MW, far more exciting days than
the internet now. Sadly there are

I was able to hear JOAK, 594 kHz, Tokyo J, at 1306-1316 GMT,
with a man speaking in JJ. The signal rose to a fair level briefly
before faing away. It was the best signal from Japan heard in
some time.
A heterodyne was audible on 828 kHz at 1318-1323 and a barely
audible signal was heard
Can we have the best of both worlds - keep Tom Ray and lose WOR? I had a sports
station underneath to the west in the wee hours, very briefly, and the likely
options would be WA CA or ND.

Hi Paul:
I thought that might be the case. I wonder how long oldies will last when they
get back on the air. Oldies has failed twice in the Huntington-Ironton-Ashland
market twice in the past ten years.

David,
It obviously isn't making them anymore or WLGC would be back on the air

Hello All,
As Richard, Bill, Walt and Dennis have already reported, it was a pretty
vibrant morning for Asian TP's. Best signals here were from a couple of Korean

monster levels.

** OKLAHOMA. 1650, Feb 12 at 1303 UT, our other X-band station has finally been
reactivated after losing its transmitter site to flooding. (DX MidAmerica

Definitely a lively morning as others have mentioned; the erratic fades up on
many channels made things interesting, even when I started listening for just a
couple of minutes at 1415UT, but it was sort of difficult to find a spot where
things had calmed down previous to sunrise, in order to get

Bruce Conti in NH is reporting WAZN Watertown in Morse code at least two

The code might make reception easier. So if you need it this may be your chance.
