Hi all, I heard KQQZ for the first time last night at 0600 UTC (1:00 am their time). I'm strongly suspecting they were on day power (to get through CFSL is an accomplishment), but I see they do have a CP for somewhat more power at night (and a move to an IL Community of License).

I'm with Steve on this one, Nigel. The FCC database shows KQQZ as still licensed to DeSoto, MO, so that's what I'd go with. And yes, they sure sound like they're on 10 KW non-stop. I have a local on 1180 and if I null them out, then tune up to 1190 and hit the USB button on the ol' Kenwood

Radio locator at one the me showed their CP facilities that showed their pattern to go due north at night. It was under that assumption that I'd thought they were on their new facilities. Then if what others are saying no, then their current pattern favors the SW greatly. So vased on the signal

Radio-locator uses the word pattern but their maps are predicted coverage areas, which aren't the same thing. The patterns in the FCC database and FCCInfo.com are what are licensed or granted in a construction permit.
