I too have a noisy AM band on my 2007 Hyundai. And, the

My results were just as meager as those of Richard and Nigel, with a dreary mix
of weak big gun Asians and 738-Tahiti. The latter was in and out at a fair
level from 1300-1415 as propagation seemed in limbo between normal and auroral.

I have the same issue with the AM section on my 2014 Dodge Carivan. The FM is
fine, but the AM is covered with noise if the car is running. It is not
ignition noise either.

Not much was heard here this morning (LSR 1305 GMT). There was a trace of a
signal from HLAZ-1566 kHz at 1236-1254. Heterodynes on 612 (4QR?) and 702
(2LO?) just before 1300. The best signal was from 4BC-1116 at 1303 until 1317
sometimes barely audible, but unintelligent.
