Not a great morning, especially as sunrise approached, but a couple

774 JOUB English lessons 1237UT

I am amazed that virtually all issues of DX NEWS are now available for member
viewing on e-dxn! This was obviously a huge project and I thank all of those
who participated! I have just read the first 2 issues of Volume 39 (1970-1971)

When I hear a new station, yes I'm excited to add a new station to my
log, but I also enjoy learning about where I'm hearing.
Using maps.bing.com, or any search engine, I find the city of the
station. Where is it? History? What is it near? What "Things To Do",
"Food", "Activities",
It looks like we are set for a studio tour of KKOH 780 this August at the
IRCA/NRC/DecalComania convention. 'Gonna try to arrange a couple more. Make

I think Azores-693 is still there. It's at reduced power and sometimes has a
breakdown but was audible during my last trip to Newfoundland 16 months ago.
Also, it's listed on the MWLIST site.

And one more data point Markat PEI early last November, we tried

Australia 1548 in at Nick's end 3 hours after sunrise is kind of like the
mirror image of what happens here on the East Coast with some TA stations
coming in 3 or more hours before sunset at shore sites.
In the NOV/DEC stretch several years back, Saudi Arabia 1521 was
good find -- thanks for sharing
