For those interested, Satoshi Miyauchi of Sagamihara, Japan has posted an MP3
link for his reception of 1413-BBC (Oman) on a 7.5" loopstick C.Crane Skywave
Ultralight radio and 5" FSL antenna at home, near Tokyo.

PS: Dreaming of the day that I can DX from home over the
internet connected to the Queen Charlottes!
If you have a decent internet connection there that can be assigned a static
IP address, I can tell you how. I set my SDR-14 on a computer at a place on
the south coast of Massachusetts and
Moldova apparently on 1413. Peaking very nicely with man in Slovik
language, doesn't sound Russian though. I cannot find if this is a Int.
Relay or who they are running. Moldovan language? Anyone know a sked for
this one? Thanks.

Take another listen, Patrick. Moldova is only on the air from 1530 - 2100
UTC. Spain is about the only possibility at this hour. If so, you should
have some possibilities to parallel it with.

Thanks Walt Much appreciated. It is nice to have someone that
understands the language here. OK, Radio PMR. I have the cassette
running so I may have an ID. I wonder if they QSL?

Hi Walt,
Then it is Russian! It did not sound like it to me, you are the expert
on Russian. Then it is Moldova. I wonder who the programmer is on the
freq at this time?

West Coast TAers,
1413 still pounding in here. Never heard Norway 1314 this good.
Longwave has a lot of noise, did get audio on 171.

Thanks Walt. Checked a couple well known QSL lists and I did not see
1413 QSL'd by anyone. So far I haven't even got a QSL back from 1215 as
yet! Back in the days of Radio Moscow, QSLing Russians was a lot easier.

Dennis,
I have to agree that 1413 is the best TA I probably have heard in signal
since about 1980 when the dial was jumping with them. Germany on many
frequencies were excellent. I even listened to Algeria 891 on the car
radio quite good too. These are rare times on the West Coast. Tonight

KAZ,
Where is the noise from? Any idea? If it was powerlines, you could
contact the local electric company. Pacific Power is good at fixing
issues here. Can you run the equipt off batteries? I have a deep cycle
battery I use when the power is out here, but my over all noise level is
not too bad,

This is stunning on 1413 since when I spent lots of time at my WI place, all
I'd get was Spain, although the Indian type lang on a good mid-east opening

AN or comes on early in their
