Based on the frequency offset, I think it is WFED 1500, DC. I'm seeing noise spikes 100 hz, 200 hz, 300 hz away from 1499.990 - which is WFED. Aaron ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opin

Same noise is being heard here outside of Charleston SC, roughly looping NW-SE. I need to take my PL-390 outside to get a little better bearing on it. Rob Keeney Goose Creek SC EM92xx On Thu, Feb 4, 2016 at 12:14 PM, Les Rayburn wrote: > Brett, > > That is nearly exactly what I’m hearing here

Brett, That is nearly exactly what I’m hearing here near Birmingham. The warble part is much stronger here, literally dominating the channel at times. At first, I too thought it might be local interference or QRM but after a few times listening to it, I can tell you that is not the case. It’s

I'm hearing something occasionally on 1500 that I'd describe as a short-duration data-tone type "screech" over top of a higher pitch warble. The "screech" shows up as a narrow line on the Perseus display on USB only while the warble is audible on both USB and LSB. http://www.personal.psu.edu/bds2/

Hi Tom, assuming you're hearing the same noise I'm hearing on 1500 at night, then yes, it's been going on for at least a month or so. I have noticed some nights when it isn't present, but it's making a mess of the channel most nights here. 73, Tim Tromp West Michigan On Jan 22, 2016 4:47 PM, wro

For the past two nights am hearing someone on 1500khz with very noisy sidebands. The noise sounds like a mix of teletype signals and a popcorn popper. Same thing heard on USB and LSB. It nulls roughly N/S. KSTP is in weakly with sports and this noise does not fade in and out with them. Detroit
