Indoor loops are bi directional. If pointed North, then you get DX from
the South too. Most aren't all that tight in pattern anyway.

Ok, I don't know anything about loops at all.. so this is a stupid
question.
If the loop is aimed at WBBM, wouldn't that make it directional and pointed
away from KNOM? It receptional/recieving is then directional, how is KNOM
reception possible if the loop is pointed in the opposite direction
Pete,
The evening DJ on KNOM is female. I heard her last night. Your format
matches too. Lots of pop, old R&B. I hear KNOM on the super radio often
at night, while trying to listen to CtoC on KKOH.

Yes, the long weather casts. That is how I finally caught an ID for KBRW
ast Winter. The weather forecast was about 15+ minutes. KNOM also has
long ones.

KNOM is a regular here on the coast. I hear it most nights. KICY is also
common, but KNOM is generally under KKOH even on the Super Radio, when I
try to listen to KKOH at night. Yes, they have lengthly weather
forecasts as several Alaskans too.

I finally came to the same conclusion after hearing the same lady
with yet another extended weather forecast exactly an hour later. I
didn't think of it because I simply do not hear Alaskans from Tacoma.

Pete
My first guess would be KNOM Nome. Alaska bush stations like to run
VERRRY long weather reports, sometimes covering hundreds of thousands of
square miles. From what I can tell, KNOM's musical selections are all
over the map.

At 9:15pm PDT/0015 EDT I am picking up a 3rd station under KKOH &
WBBM. I thought the music was originally Caribbean. Then followed a
female announcer with what seemed like an extended weather report.
Now it seems like soul music. I can't think of any hurricanes
approaching any of our coast
