As others have noted, a better morning today, with a mix of DU
and TP here today. With the lack of results of late I'd been beginning
to wonder if I had antenna problems!
594 JOAK, Japan Man in Japanese at 1351.
639 unID traces of audio at 1327
693 JOAB, Japan Traces of Japanese at 1327.
702 ABC Sydney, Australia Noted man speaking in English at 1337, and
also very faint ABC news fanfare at 1400.
747 JOIB, Japan Very weak, but definitely Japanese at 1328. Unlike 774,
didn't improve.
774 JOUB, Japan First noted about the same time as JOIB, but improved to
good level by 1340.
828 JOBB, Japan Fair-good, with man in Japanese at 1340, //774 khz.
855 unID Just traces of audio at 1403. Most like Australia.
1116 4BC Brisbane, Australia Bits of talk by a woman at 1355.
1557 unID Traces of music at 1344.
1575 VOA Thailand Heard clear English ID at 1330, with good signal until
about 1350.
Also pretty strong DU carriers on 612,792, 891. Certainly the best
morning for a while. Richard had mentioned the lack of signal from
Korea on 972 this year, and I've noted the same here. I've had it a
couple of times, but in other years it was nearly as common as the
Japanese big guns.
