1/8/1990. The license was officially deleted on 3/10/2003.

I believe that call was used in the early 90s.
I don't know if the ownership had officially changed but at least its
management had.
It seemed to be a last-ditch effort for both that station and those
particular broadcasters, who were doing live DJ shows, something seldom
seen in that station

As a DXer for the past nearly 50 years, in the early days up until the
70s, I always thought the radio stations will always be there, as few
signed off for good and not many changed calls or formats for that
matter. Then came the later 70s and into the 80s when all these Daytime
only stations start
in the day was KIOT Barstow.
There was a SS station there recently (KIQQ?) Not sure if they are currently
