Sunrise enhancement brought in another surge of low band Chinese, although this
morning's propagation had a different composition than yesterday's. 639-CNR1
once again showed up suddenly at daybreak, but was weaker than yesterday's
signal. 603-China and 657-China were stronger, though, with 603 (Hulun Buir?)
all alone at an S7 level around 1418.

As usual the Korean regulars were potent on 603, 657 and 972 around 1315, but
by 1335 in the predawn darkness 603-China was in an equal-strength mix with
HLSA's pop music. At the same time 657-China (Henan?) started to pester
Pyongyang BS, which was (thankfully) weaker than usual. By daybreak at 1410 the
Chinese took over both frequencies, and 639-CNR1 and 756-CNR1 also came out of
the noise. The latter two stayed at a modest level, but 603-China continued to
build up strength until 1418, when it managed its strongest signal here for
several years (S7). 657-China thankfully put Pyongyang BS down into the noise
around the same time, although its S5 signal was troubled by some domestic
splatter. Through all of this the Korean mega-station 972-HLCA sailed through
at a monster level, with several S9+ peaks despite the shifting propagation.
Overall it was a pretty interesting session, with the unpredictable Chinese
stations once again shaking out in a new way.
