You betcha. Weak SQM code ID, pretty good audio on weather broadcast.
best wishes,
Nick

1215 is delivering a carrier again this evening, also noted weak
carriers on 1089 and 1377 at 0545UT. Had been out this evening, so
don't know if there was any other action earlier.
best wishes,
Nick

Flipped on the radio after reading your and George's post, and
indeed lots of promising carriers. And, as George observed, Arabic
audio on 1251. Very unusual they'd be at audio level here before anyone
else.1377 also reached audio briefly, but nobody else yet.

Just got home at 02:33 UTC. I see the carrier on 1251. 1215 is threshold
audio at times. 999, 864, 783 just barely there...Walt

Yep, there's 1215 carriers again tonight 0320UTC...1215.000,
1214.999, and 1214.997 at first glance. Can't find any other audible
ones at present.

A fairly audible het on 1566 kHz this evening, from Cortes Island, first noted
around 0455UT using a northerly Flag antenna. We'll see if Walt Salmaniw
hears something better from his more northerly vacation location...

The 1566 carrier faded out rapidly between 0525 and 0532UT, after having been
pretty consistent for the past half hour. Benin sunrise is at 0524UT, rather
incredible given that this is pretty much the shortest night of the year.

Hi Nick.
If you and Walt do manage to pull something in, here's what it sounded like at
s/on during one exceptional evening/morning last fall on this side of the
continent:

I remember several such receptions of this type _that always occurred in
June_, at African s/on time, when I was DXing from Long Island NY. This
was probably in 1980
Nothing at all this evening on either 783 or 1566. Amazing what a difference
24 hours makes, with geomagnetic conditions becoming a little quieter, but with
a blip in the solar wind density.

A very faintly audible het on 1566 kHz this evening, first noted around 0450UT;
with the assistance of Spectran, it seems to be very close to 1566., but
somewhat smeared, as if there's a bit of Doppler shift, so I need to average
the readings.
There was also something on 783, only visible
Still about one half hour until local sunset here, but have had audio traces on
1134 and 1215, and a good number of mostly weak carriers.
Stronger carriers on 756, 954, 1008, 1287 and 1494, but fading is quite erratic.
best wishes,
Nick

not earth shattering, but traces of audio on 1215 just after 0100, a number of
weak carriers, and a few stronger ones: 837, 882, 1089, 1377 and 1575.
(tried for Greenland on 720, hi, but will have to settle for WGN I think)

Walt probably has his feet up, listening to tunes on Virgin Radio, but down
here it's just a weak carrier, but hey, it's the first time this season; pretty
darn early. No sign of anything else at present (just before 0430UT)
best wishes,

Virgin Radio on 1215 is there with weak audio right now at 05:50 UTC. Heard
lots of carriers earlier but no audio, but have shifted focus to
Alaska..Walt.
