HD Polka channels? Do HD hawkers remind you of carnival barkers? They'll
yell anything to see what sticks, similar to cheaszy lawyers.
HD thugs blat about 'paid reading channels for the blind'. Why would the
'blind' need HD reading channels with all the books on cassette and CD, not

96.9 runs traditional and contemporary Irish music on their second stream here
in the Boston area. It is the only second stream (IMHO) that is worthwhile
from the 30 or so HD stations that I can hear (with my Sangand HDT-1) about 20
miles south of Boston. Several stations are still not

Given the audience for Irish music in Boston, that actually makes sense.
There are some very long-running (and profitable) Irish programs, such as on
950 (Boston) and 1460 (Brockton).

Thanks. More good news - for us. Boo hoo for Team JamBLOC.
Why didn't Detroit 'jump on' this exciting new HD multi-channel technology?
Detroit has in past shown lack of vision. Chrysler blew it back in '76,
with its Lean Burn engine, controlled by computer chips, rather than

I don't think there are too many American carmakers jumping on this. It's a
fairly expensive proposition to put that technology in a vehicle and there's
no certainty around the revenues associated with it, said
Bill,
The car manufactuers read it the same way the rest of us do. No one
cares about HD Radio. If the cars do not have HD Radio, then it is
doomed.

Make no mistake about it. We are getting digital. No
whining here or wishing will make it go
Isn't Mr. Ferrara profound? Everything is a matter of time. It's why our
Creator created it for us. Dinner? Matter of time. Bad cold? Matter of time.
Are
we there yet? Matter of time. Haven't noticed any of that 250 M/Buck
promo-dough 'round here yet? How 'bout you?
Not so fast! Visited Souk Q'Wahleed twice last week. Many will recall its
'the people demand HD radio and we will carry it' promo. Not one HD radio to be
found anywhere in the store.
To me, this proves the demand far exceeds supply. Vlad-Mart can't keep 'em
in stock, that's why you can't
The future is full of surprises. Yeah, we're getting digital. So what? Will
anyone buy? I won't. Who needs to listen to liars? I might be mistaken, but
since this hog-glue piggy-back jammer was approved back in '96, one or two
alternate info-tainment gadgets might have hit the market.
Powell,
HD Radio better improve a lot in the future then. Digital radio or not,
people have so many choices of entertainment today. Radio may die out in
time. Radio, at least as we know it.
