I visited the Waters Edge HomeAway rental property near Fleeton, VA for the 6th
time from Oct. 18 - 21. Results are on this webpage:

A 160’ DKAZ was used pointing at 135 deg. -- further south than I had planned
thus I missed most of the fine TA loggings my friends at LBI enjoyed the same
weekend.

I also was reminded that the DKAZ is a wonderful ‘deer trap.’ On two
consecutive mornings I woke to find one of my masts BROKE due to a deer
incursion.

Conditions were far from auroral so I was mostly limited to the usual
collection of stations from PR, DR, Cuba and Colombia.

A couple of decent catches did struggle through the mundane to reach my antenna
though.

On 1290.3 kHz I had a re-log of Radio Timbira do Maranhao from Brazil:

And on 828 kHz Magic 828 provided a weak but readable signal ...

… that I was not able to // with their on-line feed due to a really crappy
internet connection but recognized the voice of a rather distinctive male
announcer from a previous logging in Lubec, Maine last November ...

Fortunately, the weather was nice and my wife and I had a nice break from DC.
