I’ll remind our readers that there is now a MW DXer list on the internet

I sent him one several weeks ago, and got a quick reply. He bumped the
limit up to 60 kB. Do we need to have it increased again?

No offense taken - we have all been at this hobby a long time.
Is good to clear the air occasionally.

My apologies to the list and especially to Colin. I thought I'd
pulled the address to the list out of this, and apparently I
didn't. Please delete, however much I know that you can't.

I'm not going to call you in public on this Colin...not this time,

Colin, I did spend some time on your prototype site last year, and although
I had no comments - thought it was fine - I never managed to say so...

Google Groups typically can accommodate attachments but I haven't pursued
what the max is. Even as a user,
I'm concerned about privacy with Google. But is definitely more cumbersome
for moderators.

Agreed - 300k would be an awesome upper limit because you could attach PDF's
and screen grabs and MP3's -
And *drum roll* - I am inspired enough by this burst of interest (it is the
dawn of
DX season after all...) to kick-start the "IRCAonline.com" project in one
way or another...

Agree with Chuck - putting eggs in one basket is kind of a bad idea.
I ran up a Beta IRCAonline.com website for 6 - 8 months
complete with forum and ability to upload unlimited messages and files
and no one took any notice of it - so I took it down.
One thing that should be acknowledged is that
As a user ( not a moderator ) l very much like Google Groups. The ones l
use allow some large attachments but l assume that is customizeable...

I agree with Paul. Since (in the present configuration) we are limited to

That's what's so frustrating to me. I feel like asking, "what's the

So far, I have not received any form of proposal regarding the file size limit.
If I were to get one, with an appropriate "new" limit, I would forward it to
the IRCA Board of Directors for voting. Nor do I even know of the folks hosting
our eGroup would be willing to make a
