1053 jammer was the first at 0944, but since then audio traces on 972 774 1557
and 945.
Actually, as I'm typing this at 1006, 972 has come up to near totally listenable
with a rendition of Blowing in the Wind,
Early Edition of TP's DU's for Halloween. Listened from 1020-1050 utc. Just
the powerhouse Asian stations at this time along with the lone DU Tahiti on
738. 4 Radio Rossii long waves received.
153 RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1020-1024 fair signal. America Country music song
followed by man
I wonder if anyone can help identify this station, recorded at
0600 utc today on 1460 kHz. Conditions were very good to the
midwest and at 0700 I heard KXNO Des Moines IA.
WXBR-1460 in Brockton, MA USA is off the air, so it wouldn't be that one.

I'm running a local version of the DX Fishbarrel program here at Howe Bay,
PEI, and have modified it to upload a snapshot to the web every two minutes of
the signal strengths of all 9kHz channels from 153 to 1701 kHz.So, if you
want to see what the TAs look like at Howe Bay, go to
Listened from 1305-1355 utc and carriers were heard on 279, 594, 693, 747, 774,
873, 972, 1566 and 1575 with audio on 774 and 1575.

Glad you've had some TP activity. Very little to report from this side of

By coincidence I was checking the band at the same time that Nick was
receiving his TP's during the PEI DXpedition (0944-1006), and found that
conditions were very good during the Asian sunset period. The usual Japanese
big guns (594, 747 and 774) had good audio in and out,
I sent out the early edition at 1105 utc and had times listed for 7 stations in
the 1300 hour. I have corrected the times below. Only 4 stations heard that
were not present during the first listening period.Second listening session
1330-1410 utc. We did get .15 more rain from 1105 to 1540
For the second time in a week, KRAE (new for me) was coming in here last night,
this time with an ID and 50's type mx that I wasn't really familiar with.
Peaked up to fair at 8 pm CDT You're listening to 1480 KRAE, Cheyenne and
into another song. I presume stuck on day power, but not sure.
I stood in the doorway to my balcony --
we were having torrential rain and deep fog
and my Eton E1 wanted no part of it --
so I was scanning with a barefoot Sony 2010 -
No hets noted but lots of good domestic stuff...
ESPN on 900 and 940 -- assuming that neither
of these were Hawaii.

1575 has some audio here, but 3 carriers visible, 1 about 2 hz low and the
other about 6 hz high compared to the slightly stronger ~1575.001 carrier.
Not much else around the band.

Many carriers at 00:57 to 01:07 scan. *Interestingly, many are equal on
any of my 3 antennae*: North facing corner fed loop, West corner fed loop,
and ALA 100. 1575 right now is at fair level with EZL modern music via
female vocalist. Carriers heard on: 549, 621, 639, 675, 702(strong), 711,
Good carriers on 531 and 702! 702 being the louder.

station, RUV R'as 2 Iceland 189 kHz in with a weak steady signal for about 2
minutes before they faded out. Man in Icelandic? Heard on only one antenna,

It was just another so-so day for TP DX. The Koreans on 972 and 1566
were somewhat OK at times. Japan on 747 and 774 made cameo appearances

A tip from Glen Hansen that KTRP 1260 Weiser ID, seems to be on daytime power
during the evening. Last night it was dominating 1260, daytime power is 8,400
watts is night time power of 36. CW format is now on top of the channel this
evening covering up 50,000 watt CFRN Edmonton ESPN
October certainly didn't go out with a bang as far as TPs went at
this location. Only the Korean on 1566 produced any audio this morning.
It was fair, bordering on good at times, but that was it. 972 had a
decent carrier, but that couldn't be said for the regular Japanese,
which were
