Computer problems kept me from hearing much yesterday, other than a
brief recording 1320-1323 that had a decent signal from JOUB and
carriers from many others. Things seem to be back to normal today,
fortunately.
This morning's recording revealed reasonably good Asian reception, but

Driving to work at sunrise this morning, I had the radio tuned to 690
trying to identify a station that was way down in the mud. A couple of
times, I heard the announcer identify with two letters: W-B or W-E or
some combination of the letter W followed by a letter that rhymes with
E, obviously

Thanks to Richard for his TP-DX report from Oklahoma. It was a pretty good
morning here for Chinese stations, with both 738-BEL2 and 1044-CRI managing
audio on the "Science Fiction PL-380" model during a generous sunrise
enhancement. Other Chinese stations on 936, 1035 and 1323 reached threshold
Listened from 1306-1322 UT carriers on 594, 693, 774, 972, 1566, 1575 and 1593
with audio on 1566 and 1575.

I was able to hear JOUB 774 between 1148 and 1201 GMT using my Skywave receiver
with the 8-inch FSL. The signal strength was poor at best. No other TP
signals were observed.
