[IRCA] not TP 10 Jan Victoria version
That was a morning best forgotten.Speculation leads me to a couple of Asian carriers on 774 and 747, and maybe a couple of DU carriers 567 and 1098, best wishes, Nick ___ ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
Re: [IRCA] NA: 850 KOA power level?
The auxiliary site is quite a bit north of the main site. It's diplexed at the KDSP-760 site. Quite a few of the 50 kW Class A stations have auxiliary sites. https://transition.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/amq?list=0=29738 Sent from my iPad > On Jan 10, 2017, at 7:21 PM, Steve Ratzlaffwrote: > > Thanks! [IRCA] Alberta TPs for 10 January 2017
A second day with no TP audio here, but the band certainly sounded better than yesterday. Quite a number of carriers, with 1548 and 1512 being the strongest, and at least getting near audio at times. Some other carriers seemed of Asian origin, something that's been lacking here of late. 73, Nigel Pimblett Dunmore, AB Perseus SDR with Wellbrook Phased Array ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com

Re: [IRCA] TP for 10 Jan 2017 from Masset
I was up at 1630u - already around 73 degrees... Usual Island sounding stations on 540, 621... With what sounded like Vietnamese on 603 (I have not looked at the Pacific Radio Log since I've been here - probably should...) Other typical stand out was Korea on 972. Oddly I have heard nothing from the 1053 jammer. At 1630u 1098 is a giant open carrier. Last week here - should get busy. [IRCA] TP for 10 Jan 2017 from Masset
A gorgeous and sunny morning at 0 deg C. Late last night the Pacific opened up with great reception on 1098 with islands music before 07:00. 1017 was also strong but with lower modulation. Monitoring from 13:55 to about 17:30 found that Korea was especially strong. Not much X band activity and DU was down. Very little dawn enhancement and certainly post dawn conditions dropped off unlike yesterday's where they went on and on. China and Japan also seemed a bit quieter. 73 from Haida Gwaii! [IRCA] Oklahoma TP DX 1/10/17
This morning it was almost as if Nigel's DX-proof blanket had slide over my QTH. Only a couple of weak carrier signals on 612 and 702 kHz in the minutes before sunrise at 1341 GMT. A carrier was also heard on 1098 at 0717. According to those who know, the solar winds of the past few days are departing our earthly environment. So maybe things will improve somewhat in the coming days. Richard Allen, near Perry OK USA, Skywave & FSL.
