But I punched send before the important part: congratulations to Tim for
digging out something truly unusual.

Those with good memories will remember that when they were on 1525, they were
heard in may parts of the eastern USA.
And those who read web reports will know that it is a semi-regular in the
Cappahayden Newfoundland reports.

Congratulations Tim. China-1521 was also logged in PEI in 2012. That time
it was a logging by Sylvain Naud that alerted the group. I wonder how much
further inland this can go?
best wishes,
Nick

Absolutely amazing. Makes up for the worst offsite catering company I ever
saw. A beautiful accomplishment Tim.

They are at 4 watts. Montreals TSN Sunday Night Football is on top right
now. I live
10 blocks south of their main night lobe (aprox of course). Its signal is
very weak here. Strong during the daytime. Pretty cut n dry.

After reading recent reports that China was logged by Allen Willie in
Newfoundland and the PEI gang, I thought I'd pay closer attention to 1521
during the early evening hours. Patience paid off tonight when I caught
some faint Russian talk and music beginning around 00:30 UTC. I was able

Conditions today were almost identical to yesterday's. If you go back
and look at yesterday's logs you'll get an accurate summary of what my
SDR heard today.
NHK2 programming today featured Chuck Berry "Roll Over Beethoven"
(twice) and Eagles "Take It Easy", in the 1350-1415 time frame. No
I think your real question is are they using their licensed 4 watt night power
at night, and the answer should be pretty obvious. As far back as May 2014, I
was hearing KFXN down here at all hours of night, and they probably haven't
changed one iota since. 500 watts vs. 4 -- can you blame
4 watts at night :-))
Cheers!

This was definitely WSKW Skowhegan, ME. I went over my last few evenings'
Perseus recordings. The signal dominates on my east antenna. 99% of the time,
since Bermuda went dark, there are only three significant players on 1160 here.
These are WSKW-ME, WOBM-NJ, and
