I remember Chuck talking about a non-linear amplifier for the DKAZ - one that
gave more oomph on the low end than the top end. That would be nice.
I end up making liberal use of attenuation on the Perseus to not overload the
top end to get enough signal on the low end.

Something else that might not be hurting reception is that it's omni at present
due to a downed tower from a storm.
It's usually pointing away from 'us' towards Africa.

These KiwiSDRs are pretty robust, having had one running unattended over two
winters now in Lubec, Maine.
Biggest concern is the antenna -- totally unattended antennas in tough spots
are
