I checked 1220 tonight and KDOW is back in the jumble, so they must have had a
glitch and was on high power last night (5 KW).

I listened to them intentionally on the way home from work tonight. Twenty
miles away, their signal was weaker than KEX. Their high power must have
been a one-day glitch, as they were rather weak in San Jose.

Mike,
That is what I figured as it down in the mud like always at night. I am happy
to know the 50 KW CP has been scapped. I don't think the Bay area needs any
more 50 KWers.

How do you know WNCA was on day power?
I logged them a month or so ago during high school football and an almost
certain it was on night power.

As Richard and Dennis have reported, Asian signals were dramatically improved
this morning, with very potent signals from both the big gun TP's and
second-tier Asians. Huge signals came in this morning from both 603-HLSA (with

I decided to fire up the receiver this morning for the first time in two

than rely solely on SDR recordings. Conditions were quite good. The
low end of the dial was productive the entire time I recorded (1255-1510

Hi George,
We met at the Minneapolis convention this past summer, and I recall
the talk that you gave there on the CR-1.
Would it be possible to develop that talk into an IRCA Technical

could be reprinted in DX Monitor more or

Hello All,
As others have reported, very good Asian propagation was prevailing this
morning, with several low-band signals reaching excellent levels. The listening
session started off with a bang at 1305 as 738-BEL2 in Taiwan (with female
Chinese news) was already fairly potent, the

I think KBND is on day power for the Blazers BKB game as it is making it thru
KFAB on peaks. Got a nice NewsTalk 1110 KBND Bend ID at 2150 CDT. I think they
very often run day power at night for local sports.
Mid band cx are decent as CKST 1040 is on peaks almost = WHO with Canucks
