As western Washington prepares for a nasty storm most of the Asian DX seemed to
have skipped town early, with only a few big gun TP's sticking around in the
steady rain. 594-JOAK (fair), 693-JOAB (poor), 747-JOIB (fair), 972-HLCA (good)
and 1566-HLAZ (fair) were in and out of the noise during a
Asian results here were similar to those reported by Dennis as most signals
dropped off significantly, in comparison to yesterday. Significant audio was
limited to the usual Japanese and Korean big guns, and most of those needed
sunrise enhancement to shake off anemia.

Overall Asian results here this morning were closer to Dennis' version than
Colin's NHP fish barrel report, but Dennis and I apparently tracked down
different sets of second-tier Asians. I can agree with Colin that conditions
were not nearly so favorable as two days ago, however.

Nigel is certainly correct that this was a very unusual morning. At 1320 a
quick check of the band (on a modified ICF-2010 spotting receiver) revealed the
Asians to be in full clunker mode, with only a few wispy carriers from big gun
TP's like 774-JOUB and 972-HLCA. Figuring that
