Assalam alaikum, Prophet Muhammad said that Allah Almighty said, "I am God, besides whom there is no other god, I am Master of the kings, King of the kings, the One in whose hands is the hearts of the kings. When men obey me, I turn the hearts of kings to them with mercy and gentleness. But when men disobey me I turn the kings hearts against them with displeasure and vengeance, and they inflict punishment upon the men. So do not occupy your time invoking curses on kings, but occupy yourself with the remembrance of Me and supplication that I may protect you against your kings" [Mishkat al-Masabih, Vol I, p 790]
