Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) group in New York has strongly
condemned the "blasphemous" Dutch film and demanded legal action against its
release.
The demand for legal action against the Dutch government was made in a
statement issued by Pakistan's U.N. Ambassador Munir Akram in his capacity as
chairman of the OIC group.

The statement was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the
UN in New York.
"The film distorts the message of Islam by selective and out of text
quotation as well as biased interpretation of the verses of the Holy Qu'ran,"
it said.
The OIC group said the film violated various articles of the International
Convention on Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and the
International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights that prohibit any advocacy
of racial or religious hatred.
"The film is an act of religious hatred and a racist and xenophobic attempt
to advance a narrow political agenda and would merely serve to disturb peace,
stability and social harmony within and among states," the statement noted.
"For the Muslims around the world, it is an attempt to impede the enjoyment
of the right to practice and manifest their religion without fear or coercion,
particularly for those who live in non-Muslim countries," it added.
The group urged all concerned parties to exert their efforts to
prevent further dissemination of this "provocative film" as it would undermine
the ongoing efforts to promote peaceful coexistence.
"Despite this blatant provocation, Muslims have shown restraint and
responsibility.
"However, recurrence of similar offences could spark wider anger, a matter
that underlines the need for a joint commitment to show sensitivity and respect
for the religion and belief of others in accordance with international law," it
stated.(NAN)

Muslims "must" unite all over the World
and pray for the appearance of al Mahdi (r.a.) the Saviour of mankind
the descendent of Prophet Muhammed s.a.w.
