Learn from the Enemy: "Israel at Heart 'Take Three Minutes' Swat
Team

Here is an email worth recirculating. It has links to articles and
petitions on the issue of Israel's invasion of Lebanon and Israel's
siege of the Palestinians in Gaza. It asks Israel's supporters to spend
three minutes to help Israel. It also provides a link to *link to
desktop alerts of articles and surveys. [at very bottom of email www.giyus.org ] *The Israeli Foreign Office has
sent out a similar email with links to petitions and articles critical
of Israel's attack on Lebanon and asks that 100,000 supporters of
Israel rally to her defense. As a prominent Israeli peace activist say's
below "learn from the enemy."

Hi Everyone,

This is a very difficult period for all of us who care about Israel. Its
hurts to watch CNN, I feel better watching fox. I gave up my
subscription to the New York Times years ago, because I found it to
aggravating to read their editorials and watch how they present the news
about Israel. I am not one to suggest each of you cancel your
subscriptions or watch fox but I would suggest that we all give serious
thought to recognizing who our friends really are. When life is easy,
you never really know who will be by your side at moments of crises, but
when times become challenging you see who stands up for you and who
attacks you. It is a painful period to witness this, but it is a reality
check for all of us. There are many new initiatives we are taking, for
example the group of French, Spanish and German speakers from Israel at
Heart have begin to focus on newspapers in those countries. We suggest
those of you who speak any foreign language pay special attention to
papers you can read and respond to. There is a long list we prepared
today and we have been getting many suggestions from you.
