Verily, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him, and never will the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers) find any helpers. *Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one (Muhammad p.b.u.h.) calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. *Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die in the state of righteousness along with Al-Abraar (those who are obedient to Allah and follow strictly His Orders). *Our Lord! nlike the noble cause of digging out Saddam's atrocities, Islam Karimov's
recent massacre in Andijan is being buried deep because in his words, the
victims wanted to establish Khilafah. Atrocities of similar, dictatorial
regimes in many Muslims countries are acceptable to the civilized world
because these are considered as secular bulwarks against Hizb ut Tahrir-like
movements, whose main crime is the struggle for establishing Khilafah.

The deadstream media makes everyone believe that the trouble started, at the
earliest, around the Taliban's coming to power in Afghanistan. In fact, the
global troubles have been attributed to Khilafah since its inception in the
7th century. Thirteen centuries later, when the British Empire abolished the
remnants of Khilafah in 1924, it took a sigh of relief and considered it as
the ultimate victory against Islam.

To the utter disappointment of Britain and its allies, the problem,
nevertheless, remains. Khilafah still provides motivation to many actions
and reactions; movements and counter-movements. Consequently, the centuries
old zeal of Islamophobes to abolish Khilafah is as much the root of all
unacknowledged terrorism as the renewed zeal of Muslims to re-establish it
is the mother of all solutions.

The major problem with Khilafah is the morbid dread it strikes in the hearts
of the totalitarians who are determined not to allow Muslims to get united,
exercise their right to self-determination and living by the Qur'an. The key
to materializing these objectives lies in thwarting Muslim's organized
struggle towards establishing Khilafah.

Just a thought of this struggle leads the Islamophobes into taking many
pre-emptive measures, which, in turn, lead to grievances, reaction and
counter measures on the part of Muslims.

The more the time passes, the more people realize importance of a central,
independent authority for Muslims. Unlike all the dead revolutions of human
history, the 7th century revolution in the heart of Arabia not only
culminated in establishing a way of life but also set guidelines for a basic
governance mechanism, which are still valid today.

This realization of the need to have a central, independent authority for
Muslims is directly proportional to the struggle on the part of Islamophobes
who will never allow Muslims to establish an alternative model to the
existing unjust socio-political and economic order.

The war on terrorism is a post 9/11 slogan. In fact, it is a summary title
for all the anti-Khilafah efforts: from intellectual escapades to legal
hurdles, wars, occupations, detentions and torture. In this process,
terrorism is used as a synonym or Khilafah.

One can notice this by carefully listening to the brief statements at the
end of summits and conferences these days. It seems as if there is nothing
going on the world except terrorism. The crux of all messages is: We are
committed, determined and one against the evil of terrorism. We would not
allow terrorists to win. They are against our values and way of life.

A realistic look forces one to ask: Where does the alleged 'Muslim terrorism
' stand in comparison to the mass killings, tortures, detentions, and
exploitations carried out by the legitimized institutions and licensed
states. This shows the war is actually on something other than the
deceptively labeled terrorism.

One month before 9/11, New York Times reported that most Americans are made
to believe, terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that
it is becoming more widespread and lethal. The Americans are made to think
that the US is the most popular target of terrorists and they almost
certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most
terrorism. Larry C. Johnson, nevertheless, concludes: None of these
beliefs are based in fact (NY Times July 10, 2001: The Declining Terrorist
Threat).

Johnson cites figures from the CIA reports. Accordingly, deaths from
international terrorism fell to 2,527 in the decade of 1900's from 4,833 in
the 80's. Compare the 2,527 deaths in the 90s due to acknowledged terrorism
with the death of 1.8 million in Iraq's during the same years due to
unacknowledged terrorism of the US, its allies and the UN. The US and allies
' terrorism remained unacknowledged because they justified it with lies
about Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction. Also compare the 4,833 deaths due
to acknowledged terrorism with one million deaths due to unacknowledged
aggression of Iraq against Iran on the behest of the US and its allies.

So, what is consuming the world: the acknowledged terrorism of Muslims or
the unacknowledged terrorism of the US and its allies?

This brings us to the point that the endless tirades about terrorism that we
hear from Bush, Blair and their presstitutes and deadstream media are all

TO UNDERTAKE THIS JOURNEY AS IT WAS FULL OF RISKS AND
HAZARADS. THEY WERE HOWEVER, NOT SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR
ATTEMPT AND HAZART HUSSAIN PROCEEDED ON HIS MISSION OF
REFORMATION CONCEIVED ON THE BASIS OF HIS OWN IJTEHAD.
THERE WAS HOWEVER, NO MOTIVE OF FIGHTING AS HE WENT
WITH 60 OR 70 PEOPLE WHICH MOSTLY COMPRISED MEMBERS OF
HIS OWN HOUSEHOLD. IT WAS ONLY A POLITICAL DIFFERENCE
WITH YAZID AND HAZRAT HUSSAIN WANTED TO RECTIFY THE

BUT THE RELATIVES OF MUSLIM BIN AQEEL UNDER THE
INFLUENCE OF SABAI ELEMENTS INSISTED ON AVENGING THE
MURDER OF MUSLIM BIN AQEEL AND HENCE HAZRAT HUSSAIN
DECIDED TO RESUME HIS ONWARD JOURNEY TO KUFA. WHEN
HAZRAT HUSSAIN REACHED KARBALA THE GOVERNOR OF KUFA,
IBN ZAID, SENT UMAR BIN SAEED AS THE HEAD OF A
CONTIGENT TO HALT THE ADVANCE OF HAZRAT HUSSAIN. UMAR
BIN SAEED HELD DISCUSSIONS WITH HAZART HUSSAIN WHERE

THREE CONDITIONS ARE ACCEPTED:

(i) HE MAY BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN JIHAD ON THE
FRONTIERS OF ISLAMIC EMPIRE.

(ii) OR HE MAY BE PERMITTED TO RETURN TO MADINAH.

(iii) OR HE MAY BE ALLOWED TO SEE YAZID  (IN
CERTAIN NARRATIONS LIKE TAHRIK TABARI IT IS STATED
THAT HE (HUSSAIN) WILL PERSONALLY OFFER ALLEGIANCE TO
YAZID  NOT THROUGH ANY INTERMEDIARY).

UMAR BIN SAEED ACCEPTED THE LAST CONDITION AND
SOLICITED THE APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR (IBN ZAID) WHO
HOWEVER, INSISTED THAT ALLEGIANCE FOR YAZID MUST BE
OFFERED AT HIS HAND WHICH HAZRAT HUSSAIN DIDN'T
ACCEPT. CONSEQUENTLY THE BATTLE ENSUED WHICH RESULTED
IN THE MARTYRDOM OF HAZRAT HUSSAIN.

IT WOULD BE SEEN THERE FROM THAT YAZID HAD NO HANDS IN
THE MURDER OF HAZRAT HUSSAIN. MOST OF THE HISTORICAL
ACCOUNTS ARE WRITTEN BY SHIAS AND AS SUCH HEAP ALL
SORTS OF RUBBISH ON YAZID OUT OF SHEER CONTEMPT AND
HATRED AND DEPICT HIM IN ALARMING COLOUR WHICH IS FAR
FROM TRUTH AND REALITY. STILL SOME OF THE IGNORANT
MUSLIMS ACCUSE HIM UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF SHIAS. THE
FACT IS THAT WHEN THE NEWS OF HAZRAT HUSSAIN'S
MARTYRDOM REACHED YAZID, HE AND HIS FAMILY WEPT. YAZID
EVEN SAID: CURSE OF ALLAH BE ON ABAIDULLAH BIN ZAID.
BY ALLAH! IF HE HAD BEEN A RELATIVE OF HAZRAT HUSSAIN
HE WOULD HAVE NEVER KILLED HIM. I WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED
THE SUBMISSION OF IRAQIS WITHOUT THE KILLING OF HAZRAT
HUSSAIN. THEN HE ACCORDED A VERY GRACIOUS HOSPITALITY
TO THE REMAINING FAMILY MEMBERS OF HAZRAT HUSSAIN AND
ARRANGED THEIR RETURN JOURNEY TO MADINAH WITH GREAT
HONOUR AND RESPECT.

HAD YAZID GOT ANY INVOLVEMENT IN THE MURDER OF HADHRAT
HUSSAIN THE REMANANTS OF HIS FAMILY WOULD HAVE NEVER
STAYED WITH YAZID AS HIS GUESTS FOR SEVERAL DAYS
IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE INCIDENT OF KARBALA. HOW CAN ONE
STAY AND DINE WITH THE MURDERERS OF ONE'S BLOOD
RELATIONS? ALL THE VILE PROPAGANDA AGAINST YAZID IS A
LATTER INNOVATION OF THE SHIAS. EVEN SOME OF THE
INNOCENT MUSLIMS LIKE MUHAMMAD ALI JAHUR HAVE BEEN
DECEIVED WHEN HE SAID IN A COUPLET:

THE MARTYRDOM OF HUSSAIN IN EFFECT IS DEATH OF YAZID;
ISLAM RISES TO NEW HEIGHTS AFTER EVERY INCIDENT LIKE
THAT OF KARBALA.

THIS IS HIGHLY MISLEADING AS IT IS EVIDENT FROM THE
FACT THAT SEVERAL HUNDREDS OF SAHABA WERE ALIVE AT
THAT TIME BUT ALL OF THEM KEPT ALOOF FROM THIS EVENT
TO SAVE UMMAH FROM ENTANGLEMENT AND BLOODSHED. HAD IT
BEEN AN ENCOUNTER BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL, THE SAHABAH
WHO THROUGHOUT THEIR LIVES HAD NOT SHIRKED JIHAD WOULD
HAVE DEFINITELY THROWN ALL THEIR WEIGHT BEHIND HADHRAT
HUSSAIN.

IT MAY BE MENTIONED HERE THE CLOSE AFFINITY OF YAZID
WITH THE FAMILY OF HADHRAT ALI. IN 53 H WHEN YAZID AS
AMIR-UL-HUJJAJ WENT TO MAKKAH AND AFTER HAJ REACHED
MADINAH, AT THAT OCCASION HE WAS MARRIED TO

If blood circulation decreases, the nails become thin, ugly and yellow. The Holy Prophet (SAW) had counted the practice of cutting nails among the ten natural things. A Muslim MUST believe that blessing lies within the limits described by the Prophet (SAW) and no doubt blessing is there. Doctor Saeed Rana observes that germs seek a shelter in long nails and they get themselves mixed in water and other eatables. The nail polish remover destroys the surface of the nails as it removes thin shells from the nails. The shine or luster of the nails also goes and nails become colorless and rough.
For How Long Have You Been Using Nail Polish? Many ladies suffer from different diseases simply because of using nail polish but they dont know the real cause of their disease and are moving from doctor to doctor in search of treatment. I would like to quote just one example which a physician, Tariq Mahmood Chughtai, narrated. The physician write, "Nails are also something living like a human body. They need fresh air, oxygen and water. If they experience pain, they whole body will show the signs and effects of this pain. A woman
had boils on her hands. She was also experiencing horrible itch. She visited many doctors but the efforts of the doctors remained fruitless. At last she visited a skin specialist. After examining the patient, the doctor asked her for how long she was using nail polish on her nails. She replied that she was doing so for the last 5 years. She told the doctor that she was suffering from the disease for the last 5 years as well. The doctor advised her to stop using nail polish. He prescribed her some medicine and she was OK just within three weeks. Different colors have their own effects on human health. A Hindu friend of mine has embraced Islam. He is very happy with his new faith and everyone is encouraging him to learn more about Islam. Our sponsor wanted to take him to hospital for circumcision, but we were told by an Egyptian friend that there was no need. Please comment.
Answer
Your Egyptian friend is right. Circumcision, for new born boys, is recommended. It is not compulsory. Therefore, if a child born to a Muslim family is not circumcised and he remains so until his death, he does not commit a sin. It is true that it is unhygienic to remain un-circumcised, but when we speak of a certain situation from the Islamic point of view, we have to classify it according to the teachings of the Prophet.
Since this friend of yours is an adult, and he has only recently embraced Islam, to pressure him into going to hospital for circumcision is wrong. Let him choose for himself. There should be no great emphasis attached unduly to circumcision. If he is a good Muslim, whether he is circumcised or not, it does not affect his status in any way.
Some people may be scared lest this action in adult life should result in some complications. Others are too shy to go through it. Why should there be pressure when Islam has not required it?

Volume 4, Book 55, Number 575:

Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "Abraham did his circumcision with an adze at the age of eighty."

Of course the rejecters (QO QF Crowd) of the Sunnah of the Prophet (saws) will tell us that circumcision has absolutely nothing to do with Islam has been plagiarized from the Bible by the Hadith collectors attributed to the Prophet (saws).

Female circumcision is not a Sunnah. There is no basis to consider it as such. Shaikh Muhammad Al-Sabbagh, a reputable Hadith scholar, has verified all the Hadiths that mention this practice and shown that they are all very poor in authenticity. As such, they are unsuitable to be taken as a basis for any action.
From another point of view, it has been medically established that this social tradition, which is common in some African countries, is harmful to the girl in childhood and adulthood. As such, it should be avoided by all means. Parents who arrange this to be done to their daughters must not do so, because it exposes their daughters to lasting harm. This is something a parent is forbidden to do to a child.

MUMBAI Popular dancer Tarannum Khan (Tannu), who had charmed several celebrities including a Sri Lankan cricketer and Bollywood actors, was yesterday quizzed by the Mumbai police about her alleged link to bookies.
Tannu was one of two dancers who had been raided by Income-Tax officials earlier in the month. The officials had seized over Rs2 million in cash, besides a million worth of jewellery from her posh bungalow in a Mumbai suburb. However, her bank locker did not result in any major finds.
A popular dancer at the Deepa Bar in Irla in north-west Mumbai, Tannu had amassed an enviable asset base (which included a bungalow), as many of her patrons had showered her with cash, and also gifted her valuables. According to police sources yesterday, Tannu was being quizzed for her alleged links to bookies. Some top bookies were among her favourite clients at the dancebar, and there is speculation that her 'fans' included several actors and cricketers. But Tannu's tips to her other clients on cricket matches appeared to have been worthless, and many of them are said to have lost millions of rupees in bets.
Income-tax sleuths had come across telephone numbers of many bookies during their raid on the dancer's bungalow, and had passed them on to Mumbai police. Bookies were among major spenders at dancebars, showering hundreds of thousands of rupees on their favourite dancers over a few hours on a given evening.
Tannu was among the few hundred dancers out of an estimated 100,000 at the 1,000-odd bars in Mumbai alone who used to earn millions. Maharashtra's deputy chief minister R.R. Patil imposed a ban on the establishments effective August 15, rendering nearly a million people (including waiters, managers, bouncers, tailors, beauticians and others) jobless..
Many of the dancers have started returning to their hometowns in north and east India, while others are believed to have got into the flesh trade. Some of the top dancers have got lucrative assignments abroad, and have flown to Europe and South East Asia.
Three dancers, who were desperate for money, killed themselves last week in separate incidents. Dancebar owners in Mumbai have challenged the government law banning their functioning, and the matter is expected to come up in the Bombay High Court later this month.

Mu'awiyah as a Model of Islamic Governance

Mu'awiyah was one of the Companions of the Prophet and
one of his scribes who recorded the Revelation. He was
appointed governor of greater Syria by 'Umar after the
death of his brother Yazid who had been appointed by
Abu Bakr, and remained governor under 'Uthman. As he
was related to 'Uthman, he was a leading force in
demanding that his murderers be brought to justice.
Thus he and 'Ali came to be on opposite sides in the
Fitnah or Civil War. Eventually 'Ali was murdered by a
Kharijite and his son Hasan declared khalif. When
Hasan realised he could not control the situation, he
handed over power to Mu'awiyah which led to peace and
re-unification of the Umma in 40/661, the year known
as the Year of the Jama'a, or Community. There was no
further major civil unrest - except for the odd
Kharijite agitation - during his reign. When he died,
another chapter of the Fitnah ensued in the form of
the war between his son Yazid and first Husayn, 'Ali's
son, and then Ibn az-Zubayr in the Hijaz. 

So what was it about Mu'awiyah which made his rule so
successful to such an extent that the famous
historian, adh-Dhahabi, points out that after al-Hasan
had surrendered his claim to the khalifate, Mu'awiyah
reigned without a rival, and without losing any of the
conquests of Islam. Neither 'Abdu'l-Malik, nor
al-Mansur, nor Harun ar-Rashid earned this praise,
unique in the annals of Islam? 

Before examining governance under Mu'awiyah, it must
first be pointed out that defining the nature of
governance in an Islamic context is somewhat
difficult, not least because it has been a long time
since Islam formed the foundation of governance and
Muslims have tended to base themselves on Western
political theories and then to Islamicise these
theories. Even the question of what an ummah is causes
problems. What precisely is the Muslim Ummah? When it
is translated as nation, it is inevitable that some
of the connotations of the modern nation-state creep
in, or if community is used, it becomes a purely
social concept, something like a undefined social unit
without any real political role. So any attempt to
deal with Islamic governance is often fraught either
with tinges of historical romanticism and utopic
idealism, or else a pragmatism devoid of any real
Islamic content - and so we find ourselves like
Odysseus trying to pass between the twin perils of
Scylla and Charybdis without being destroyed by either
one. It is with the hope of avoiding these twin perils
that we will examine how Mu'awiyah, one of the most
successful of Muslim rulers, governed. 

So what is the ummah? The concept of ummah was an
entirely new one which superseded previous tribal and
family allegiances, although these tendencies kept
coming back, particularly in the case in the Ridda, or
Revolt, which followed the death of the Prophet. We
read in the Qur'an: You will not find any people who
believe in Allah and the Last Day who are loving to
anyone who opposes Allah and His Messenger, even if
they were their fathers or their sons, or their
brothers or their clan. (Qur'an 58:22) Acceptance of
and allegiance to the ummah, based on following Allah
and His Prophet, became one's primary allegiance. This
means that the umma is not a nation-state based on
ethnicity or language. It is not surprising, then,
that it left the Arabs of the time somewhat bemused.
Like the revelation with its uncompromising statement
of tawhid, the idea of a community whose central core
of political cohesion was based on that same principle
was entirely alien to them. In fact, it was probably
alien to just about everyone of the time. And indeed,
it kept being forgotten, and still is forgotten, in
favour of 'asabiyya, or tribal solidarity. 

The ummah is further delineated in the Qur'an when
Allah says, You are the best ummah brought forth to
mankind - enjoining the correct and forbidding the
incorrect and believing in Allah (3:110) and The
believers, men and women, are protector-friends of
each other, enjoining the correct and forbidding the
incorrect. (9:71) 

The Covenant of Madinah stipulated that the Muslims
Constitute one ummah and All believers shall rise
as one man against whomsoever rebels or seeks to
commit injustice, aggression, wrong action or spread
mutual enmity between the believers, even though he be
one of their sons. ... All believers are bonded
together to the exclusion of other men. 

This, then, is the polity of the Muslims, and it is
clearly a political as well as a spiritual collective,
the one being a logical consequence of the other.
Being a Muslim necessarily entails certain political
consequences. 

Having defined what the polity is, the question
becomes: how it is to be governed? Historically, there
has been two basic forms of governance - and indeed
Fiqh - which seem to reflect an eastern/ western split
- and we find the same split in the forms of
governance in eastern and western Christendom. In the
east, we find the imperial

He who assigns to Him [different] conditions does not believe in His
oneness, nor does he who likens Him grasp His reality. He who illustrates Him
does not signify Him. He who points at Him and imagines Him does not mean Him.
Everything that is known through it has been created, and everything that
exists by virtue of other things is the effect [of cause]. He works but not
with the help of instruments. He fixes measure but not with the activity of
thinking. He is rich but not by acquisition.



Times do not keep company with Him, and implements do not help Him. His
Being precedes times. His existence precedes nonexistence and His
eternity precedes beginning. By His creating the senses it is known that He
has no senses. By the contraries in various matters it is known that He has no
contrary, and by the similarity between things it is known that there is
nothing similar to Him. He has made light the contrary of darkness, brightness
that of gloom, dryness that of moisture and heat that of cold. He produces
affection among inimical things.



He fuses together diverse things, brings near remote things and separates
things that are joined together. He is not confined by limits, nor counted by
numbers. Material parts can surround things of their own kind, and organs can
point out things similar to themselves. The word mundhu (1) [i.e. since] disproves
their eternity, the word qad
(that denotes nearness of time of occurrence), disproves their being from ever
and the word lawla
(if it were not) keep them remote from perfection.



Through them the Creator manifests Himself to the intelligence, and
through them He is guarded from the sight of the eyes. Stillness and motion do
not occur in Him, and how can that thing occur in Him which He has Himself made
to occur, and how can a thing revert to Him which he first created, and how can
a thing appear in Him which He first brought to appearance. If it had been not
so, His Self would have become subject to diversity, His Being would have
become divisible [into parts], and His reality would have been prevented from
being deemed Eternal. If there was a front to Him there would have been a rear
also for Him. He would need completing only if shortage befell Him. In that
case signs of the created would appear in Him,



And He would become a sign [leading to other objects] instead of signs
leading to Him. Through the might of His abstention [from affectedness], He is
far above being affected by things which affect others.



He is that which does not change or vanish. The process of setting does
not behove Him. He has not begotten anyone lest He be regarded as having been
born. He has not been begotten otherwise. He would be contained within
limits. He is too high to have sons. He is too purified to contact women.
Imagination cannot reach Him so as to assign Him quantity. Understanding
cannot think of Him so as to give Him shape. Senses do not perceive Him so as
to feel Him. Hands cannot touch Him so as to rub against Him. He does not
change into any condition. He does not pass from one state to another. Nights
and days do not turn Him old. Light and darkness do not alter Him.



It cannot be said that He has a limit or extremity, or end or
termination; nor do things control Him so as to raise Him or lower Him, nor
does anything carry Him or keep Him erect. He is not inside things or outside
them. He conveys news, but not with the tongue or voice. He listens, but not
with the holes of the ears or the organs of hearing. He says, but does not
utter words. He remembers, but does not memorise. He determines, but not by
exercising His mind. He loves and approves without any sentimentality [of
heart].



He hates and feels angry without any painstaking. When He intends to
create someone, He says, be and there is, but not through a voice
that strikes [the ears] is that call heard. His speech is an act of creation.
His like never existed before this. If it had been eternal, it would have been
the second god.

It cannot be said that He came into being after He had not been in
existence because in that case the attributes of the created things would be
assigned to Him and there would remain no difference between them and Him, and
He would have no distinction over them. Thus, the Creator and the created
would become equal and the initiator and the initiated would be on the same
level. He created [the whole of] creation without any example made by someone
else, and He did not secure the assistance of any one out of His creation for
creating it.



He created the earth and suspended it without being busy, retained it
without support, made it stand without legs raised it without pillars,
protected it against bending and curving and defended it against crumbling and
splitting [into parts]. He fixed mountains on it like stumps, solidified its
rocks, caused its

In 
Lahore, 56 years ago, was adopted the celebrated resolution that 
inaugurated the glorious freedom struggle of the Muslims of the 
South Asian subcontinent under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad 
Ali Jinnah (d.1948). It is a fact of no small significance that the same 
session of the [All India] Muslim League which adopted the Pakistan 
resolution also adopted unanimously a resolution on Palestine. The 
resolution recorded and I quote, the considered opinion, in clear and 
unequivocal language, that no arrangements of a piecemeal character 
should be made in Palestine which are contrary in sprit and opposed to 
the pledges given to the Muslim world. The resolution further warned 
against the danger of using force in the holy land to overawe the Arabs 
.into submission.
Pakistans support for the just 
causes of the Muslims world is organically related to its own national 
vocation. It has never suffered a severance between national 
impulse and the urges of the Muslim emancipation. When the 
partition of Palestine was decided, a demonstration was held here in 
Lahore at which [the great Islamic poet] Iqbal [d.1938] was present. On 
that occasion, he emphasized the problem of Palestine, I quote his words 
does not concern Palestine alone but will have wide repercussions in 
the entire Muslim world.
Later, 
in October1947, soon after our emergence, The Quaid-i-Azam warned that 
the partition of Palestine would entail and I quote his words  the 
gravest danger and unprecedented conflict , and that the entire Muslim 
world revolt against such a decision which cannot be supported 
historically, Politically and morally. Soon afterwords , Pakistan said 
at the United Nations that all the Holy Land was being nailed and 
stretched on the cross. All these words are still timely. Fifty Six 
years ago, there was no Palestine problem; there was only a country 
named Palestine. Only the right arrogated to itself by western 
colonialism enabled one western nation to promise to a section of 
another people, namely Jews, the country of a third, the Arabs. It needs 
to be reiterated that it is this fundamental injustice , this 
uprooting of a people from their homeland and planting alien population 
on it, that evokes the resentment of the entire Muslim 
world.
The 
malady consists of cancerous outgrowth of colonialism, The establishment 
of settler regimes or the imposition of immigrant minority rule. 
The root cause of the conflict is not an innate animosity between 
the Muslims and the jews or even between the Arab or the jews. As 
Muslims, we entertain no hostility against any human community; 
When we say this, we do not exclude the Jewish people. To Jews as Jews 
we bear no malice; to Jews as Zionists, intoxicated with their 
militarism and reeking with technological arrogance, We refuse to be 
hospitable. The pogroms inflicted on them during the centuries and to 
holocaust to which they were subjected under Nazism fill some of the 
darkest pages of human history. But redemption should have come from the 
western world and not have been exacted, as it was, from the 
Palestinians.
The 
tragedy of Palestinians has agitated Muslim minds for half a 
century. The outrage of its partition in 1947 and the graver injury of 
its occupation by Israel in 1967 have been intolerable because the 
territory is part of the spiritual center of the Muslim World. The 
Palestine question was referred to the UN at a time when the 
organization was hardly representative of the international community. 
The plan, which it put forward for the partition of Palestine, would not 
obtain a passing consideration today from the majority of its 
membership, consisting of third world nations that are sworn to the 
principle of self-determination of peoples. Even at that time, the 
Muslim nations reminded the western world of its own long term interests 
and of the folly of forcibly driving a wedge into the middle east . 
These reminders proved fruitless. These importunities were scorned.

With money they can meet their basic needs.The believers in New Medinah sustained some structural damage and need some
supplies and labor to help make the repairs to some of their homes. The ceiling has fallen in one particular home, exposing it to the pending rains. As of today they are still without electricity. They have 4 generators, need more, but also need the money for fuel to power the ones they have. They have water but need to boil it. The community has brought them bottled water also. Because they don't have electricity the food is beginning to spoil. They have pooled all the food together and brought it to the Masjid freezer. Each family takes a turn cooking, and they are sharing all meals together. Al Hamdu Lillah. Because of the lack of electricity they have been forced to throw a lot of food away. The Red Cross had been coming by with MRE"S. The desire is to be self sustaining so they don't have to accept meals with pork in them. New Medinah needs food, dry goods, canned goods, toiletries, sanitizers, paper towels, tissue, etc.The Believers in New Medinah will act as a
Drop Off/Distribution Center once they have electricity restored. Gulfport and Biloxi Mississippi have been hit pretty hard. Having a job you just hate is never an easy thing to deal with, but sometimes you just need to grin and bear it until another opportunity comes along. Whether you're currently stuck because you just have to pay the bills or are holding out for the next great job, here are some things you can do to help you get through the day.
1. Set weekly goals for yourself. Sometimes it is easier to get through the day when you can keep your eye on the prize. Even if you hate your job now, there is something out there that will make you happy. Make weekly goals to help you find that golden opportunity. One week you might strive to send out five resumes or attend one networking event. Setting these goals will give you something to work towards.
2. Do one thing each day to help you reach your goals. You don't need to cross all your goals off your list every day, but you can chip away daily. When you get up in the morning, set a daily objective for yourself and make sure you achieve it. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and keep you feeling good about your progress.
3. Give yourself "me time" before work. Going into a job you hate will be worse if you get to the office feeling rushed, stressed and frazzled. Set aside some moments of solitude each morning. Develop a positive morning ritual. Treat yourself to a latte, get up early enough to read the paper, or just set your alarm to play upbeat music when you wake up. Improving your mornings can do wonders for your afternoons.

4. Create a diversion for yourself in the office. Does being in your office make you yearn for the outdoors? Are the incessant ringing phones driving you batty? Do something to brighten your mood while you're at work. Take in a tropical picture and use it as your screensaver. Buy yourself a "joke of the day" desk calendar. Plug headphones into your computer or bring your iPod to work. Go out for lunch.

5. Use your time to develop your skills. Hating your job doesn't mean you can't learn new skills. Use your time to make yourself a better candidate down the road. If your company offers training courses, take advantage of them. Use downtime to learn something new on your computer. Pick up a management development book and read it at lunch. Turn this job into an opportunity for self improvement.

6. Blow off some steam. Most people have an activity that helps them unwind and get rid of tension. Go for a run after work, go swimming on your lunch hour, or take a nice long walk. Put this time on your schedule so you will have something to look forward to every day.

7. Treat yourself. To make up for your office misery, find little ways of treating yourself. Buy a good book to read. Treat yourself to ice cream. Rent a movie. Shop for a new interview suit. Plan your next vacation. Find out what makes you feel better inside, no matter what is going on outside.

8. Maintain your performance. It is important to continue to do your work and do it well, regardless of your current situation. Set personal performance goals. Then use the accomplishments in future interviews.
9. Keep your bridges intact. It really is a small world, and you never know when you will run into co-workers from your past. Don't burn any bridges at your company because you are unhappy. Maintain your contacts and keep your relationships on a positive note. You might just need a reference or a good word from one of your colleagues in the future.

and an attempt to invoke the conscience of the world's media

This is a monologue of a British Muslim journalist of Kashmiri origin, who the tortuous Indian Visa authorities in
London and Islamabad have driven to monomania.

The first week of April this year witnessed what many people over the world considered to be the first tangible breakthrough in 57 years between
India and Pakistan in the form of the Srinagar-Muzzafarabad Bus Service, linking disputed and divided
Kashmir, hitherto hermetically sealed. The very same week, an announcement was made that flights from Britain to India
were being doubled, to meet the demand fuelled by an historically unprecedented number of visitors from the UK to the sub-continent.

That week also corresponded with my Naana (maternal grandfather) agreeing after a seventeen-year
voracious struggle on my part, to take my Muslim Naani (maternal grandmother) from Pakistani-administered Kashmr (PAK) to Indian-administered Kashmir (IAK) to visit her Hindu siblings, separated since the bloody partition of 1947.

On the surface, achieving this objective of family re-union appeared as feasible as never imagined before, or so I thought! Today is the 7
th of September and I am nowhere nearer 'nirvana' than I was in that first week of April.
My Naana, who specifically made the trip from the UK
to Pakistan in April, just as I did, has returned despondent. Whereas I, rather less pragmatic than he perhaps, have remained here, effectively 'setting fire to my ship' and vowing not to return to the UK until I fulfil my quest.

Mr. Singh, I write this letter to you with great anger and exasperation (albeit condensed) at the way in which your consulates in
London and particularly Islamabad have blocked and even mocked my attempt. For example, Mr. Naidu, a visa official in London, when asked whether he acknowledged the human need for family reunion exclaimed, "We Indians are not human when it comes to issuing visas!"
Mr.Sunil in Islamabad, laughed out loud when I asked him to imagine himself in the predicament that I found myself in. The head of your visa section in
Islamabad, Mr. Deepak Kaul conversed with me as if he were a potentate giving orders to a deferential subject. Now these are the very institutions that act as your interface to the outside world.

My dilemma is compounded when I hear widely-held rumours around your
Islamabad embassy of an informal exchange of RS:5000 (c.£45) ensuring a speedy visa process. It gets more comical when I notice the promptness with which this consulate issues visas to members or friends of the Awami National Party (ANP) of
Pakistan's NWFP province, a party I come to understand, was against the partitioning of India in 1947.

If it's of any solace to you, I feel the pain of partition ( even though I was born 25 years later! ). Having crafted two nation-states over the blood and bones of millions who perished in that ignominy, communal parochialism continued to define your mutually destructive strategic stance against one another. If you had both remained intact, you would have soon come to realise the folly of dismantling a centuries old co-existence with superficial borders. Crucially,both of you would have refrained from using
Kashmir as a playground for your war games and one-upmanship. In short, without partition there wouldn't have been a Kashmir
issue.
Having witnessed at first-hand the terror and turmoil of partition and coming from a jovial community full of zest as you do, you would and should recognise the pain that my grandmother's family are going through, ruefully, your bureaucracy hasn't. I sense
an air of petty vindictiveness if not rancour
which your consular services apportion to those from (PAK), most of whom have little say in the goings on in the sub-continent. For that very reason, many of them make no mention of
Kashmir when applying for an Indian visa.
I have thought long and hard as to why your visa authorities have created obstacles, being led to run in circles for five months does that to you! Maybe it's because they see me as young and impressionable. Perhaps, the plethora of road-blocks, a multitude of check-posts littered every few kilometres, frequent crackdown operations, which foment terror and cause resentment amongst civilians, would make me realise that a whole nation was living in an army cantonment.

Well, I already know. I've been there in 1989 when I met my grandmother's family. It is their love and hospitality towards me, sheer yearning for their sister, which has troubled me incessantly for

Ok, it sucks. Really sucks. But before you go and cash it all in, let's, in the words of Monty Python, always look on the bright side of life! There IS some good news from Tuesday's election.
Here are 17 reasons not to slit your wrists:
1. It is against the law for George W. Bush to run for president again.
2. Bush's victory was the NARROWEST win for a sitting president since Woodrow Wilson in 1916.
3. The only age group in which the majority voted for Kerry was young adults (Kerry: 54%, Bush: 44%), proving once again that your parents are always wrong and you should never listen to them.
4. In spite of Bush's win, the majority of Americans still think the country is headed in the wrong direction (56%), think the war wasn't worth fighting (51%), and dont approve of the job George W. Bush is doing (52%). (Note to foreigners: Don't try to figure this one out. It's an American thing, like Pop Tarts.)
5. The Republicans will not have a filibuster-proof 60-seat majority in the Senate. If the Democrats do their job, Bush won't be able to pack the Supreme Court with right-wing ideologues. Did I say "if the Democrats do their job?" Um, maybe better to scratch this one.
6. Michigan voted for Kerry! So did the entire Northeast, the birthplace of our democracy. So did 6 of the 8 Great Lakes States. And the whole West Coast! Plus Hawaii. Ok, that's a start. We've got most of the fresh water, all of Broadway, and Mt. St. Helens. We can dehydrate them or bury them in lava. And no more show tunes!
7. Once again we are reminded that the buckeye is a nut, and not just any old nut -- a poisonous nut. A great nation was felled by a poisonous nut. May Ohio State pay dearly this Saturday when it faces Michigan.
8. 88% of Bush's support came from white voters. In 50 years, America will no longer have a white majority. Hey, 50 years isn't such a long time! If you're ten years old and reading this, your golden years will be truly golden and you will be well cared for in your old age.
9. Gays, thanks to the ballot measures passed on Tuesday, cannot get married in 11 new states. Thank God. Just think of all those wedding gifts we won't have to buy now.
10. Five more African Americans were elected as members of Congress, including the return of Cynthia McKinney of Georgia. It's always good to have more blacks in there fighting for us and doing the job our candidates can't.
11. The CEO of Coors was defeated for Senate in Colorado. Drink up!
12. Admit it: We like the Bush twins and we don't want them to go away.
13. At the state legislative level, Democrats picked up a net of at least 3 chambers in Tuesday's elections. Of the 98 partisan-controlled state legislative chambers (house/assembly and senate), Democrats went into the 2004 elections in control of 44 chambers, Republicans controlled 53 chambers, and 1 chamber was tied. After Tuesday, Democrats now control 47 chambers, Republicans control 49 chambers, 1 chamber is tied and 1 chamber (Montana House) is still undecided.
14. Bush is now a lame duck president. He will have no greater moment than the one he's having this week. It's all downhill for him from here on out -- and, more significantly, he's just not going to want to do all the hard work that will be expected of him. It'll be like everyone's last month in 12th grade -- you've already made it, so it's party time! Perhaps he'll treat the next four years like a permanent Friday, spending even more time at the ranch or in Kennebunkport. And why shouldn't he? He's already proved his point, avenged his father and kicked our ass.
15. Should Bush decide to show up to work and take this country down a very dark road, it is also just as likely that either of the following two scenarios will happen: a) Now that he doesn't ever need to pander to the Christian conservatives again to get elected, someone may whisper in his ear that he should spend these last four years building "a legacy" so that history will render a kinder verdict on him and thus he will not push for too aggressive a right-wing agenda; or b) He will become so cocky and arrogant -- and thus, reckless -- that he will commit a blunder of such major proportions that even his own party will have to remove him from office.
16. There are nearly 300 million Americans -- 200 million of them of voting age. We only lost by three and a half million! That's not a landslide -- it means we're almost there. Imagine losing by 20 million. If you had 58 yards to go before you reached the goal line and then you barreled down 55 of those yards, would you stop on the three yard line, pick up the ball and go home crying -- especially when you get to start the next down on the three yard line? Of course not! Buck up! Have hope! More sports analogies are coming!!!

The call for Muslim unity is indeed one of the most pressing issues of our 
times and the status quo of the Muslim Ummah stands witness to this fact. It is 
all too easy to verbally declare one's adherence to Allah ta'ala's statement, 
the meaning of which is: And hold fast, all together, to the rope of Allah and 
be not divided among yourselves (Aali 'Imran: 103)

But in raising this banner we are then faced with the dilemma of having to 
defend our stand against extremism and consider compromising when it comes to 
deciding what we are uniting upon and with whom we should unite. 

On the one extreme we may come across a party who might be motivated by nothing 
short of partisanship and so anyone who doesn't conform to what their Shaykh 
has set out as the conditions for unity has to be boycotted and isolated. On 
the other extreme you will find other parties who will copromise on everything 
for the sake of achieving unity. 

Even if this means co-operating with deviants, such as those who curse the 
Sahabah, radhi Allahu anhum, or those who don't believe in the seal of 
Prophethood, or others who practice incantations etc!

It should be realised that despite all the apparent divisions that exist within 
the ummah, the circle of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jama'ah refers to those Muslims who 
have sound 'Aqeedah (creed), and who adhere to the teachings of the glorious 
Quran and the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam as was 
interpreted and implemented by our pious predecessor Muslims. 

It should be understood that the one who ascribes himself to Ahlus-Sunnah 
Wal-Jama'ah is not calling to sectarianism and partisanship! Rather, it is a 
way to classifying and separating them from the Ahulul-Bid'ah, the people of 
innovations, whose existence dates back to the time of the rightly guided 
Khilafaa that ruled the Ummah after the passing away of our beloved Prophet, 
(SAWS). 

The Ahlul-Bid'ah are numerous in this day and age and their beliefs and 
practices stand as obstacles in the way of advancement of the Ummah and the 
spreading of Da'wah to mankind.  

It is therefore incumbent upon us all to root out these obstacles by striving 
vigorously against ignorance, the major factor behind the ill practices of 
Ahlu-Bid'ah.

While the pressing need for Muslim unity involves struggle against ignorance 
with the wisest of approaches as well as patience, it does not mean that if 
ignorance persists, that we should accept defeat and seek to compromise. 

We must realise that compromise is the core weakness of the Ummah ever since 
the decline of the Khilaafah.

So if we are really sincere in our efforts to unite Muslims, we need to screen 
out all those who persist in their evil beliefs and corrupt practices and rally 
under no banner except that of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jama'ah. 

Otherwise, we may never be rid of the shameful mishaps that have been 
overwhelming the Ummah for centuries now. We may end up like the froth (scum) 
on the sea as described by Allah's Messenger, (SAWS), despite all our millions!

MOSCOW - Shamil Basayev is Russia's Osama Bin Laden . Yet as Beslan prepares to mark the one-year anniversary of the school siege he engineered, many of the victims' mothers are increasingly laying blame for the September massacre not on Mr. Basayev, but on Russian authorities.
They are stoking controversy by demanding that top leaders, including President Vladimir Putin , stay away from this week's service to commemorate the 331 victims, half of them children, who perished in the Sept. 1-3, 2004, terrorist attack. Their accusations have been fueled by leaks from two still-incomplete investigations, and evidence presented at the ongoing trial of the sole surviving terrorist, Nurpashi Kulayev. Both have raised sharp doubts about the official version of events.
Witnesses at Mr. Kulayev's trial have testified that Russian security forces, using flame-throwers and tanks against a school holding more than 1,000 hostages, may have been responsible for many deaths. Others have fingered corrupt officials and inept police officers for allowing the terrorists to drive across a heavily guarded border and seize a school in the center of a large town. "We want all those who are responsible to face justice," says Roza Sidakova, a spokesperson for the Beslan Mothers group. Ms. Sidakova lost her 9-year-old daughter when security forces stormed the school on Sept. 3.
The mood of disbelief is not confined to victims' families. A countrywide poll conducted last month by the Moscow-based Public Opinion Foundation found that only 15 percent of Russians expect the official investigation, headed by Alexander Torshin, the deputy speaker of parliament's upper house, to get to the bottom of what happened in Beslan. Another 20 percent think the commission will discover the truth, but keep it secret.
"The reaction of the mothers of Beslan is a manifestation of the profound distrust many Russians are feeling toward the authorities," says Yevgenia Albats, a political scientist at the Moscow Higher School of Economics. "This is because the authorities have covered the truth about those events of a year ago in a thick layer of lies, which contaminates everything."
The official version holds that on Sept. 1, 32 terrorists linked to Basayev, a Chechen warlord, drove in a hijacked military-style truck from the neighboring republic of Ingushetia, evaded many police checkpoints, and occupied Beslan School No. 1. They took about 1,200 children, parents, and teachers hostage in the school's gym, which the terrorists festooned with makeshift explosives.
On the third day of the crisis, one of the terrorists' bombs accidentally detonated, prompting security forces to launch an ill-prepared 10-hour assault that succeeded in saving most hostages. According to officials, security troops took all possible precautions to protect civilians, but hundreds of casualties occurred when the gym's roof, set alight by terrorist bombs, came crashing down.
But this picture is challenged by mothers - and many witnesses at Kulayev's trial - who say there were at least 50 attackers, many of whom escaped. The terrorists made use of weapons and supplies that had been prepositioned in the school, suggesting an inside job, they said. Kulayev testified that the first explosion resulted when a Russian sniper killed one of the hostage-takers who was holding down a bomb-detonator with his foot.
Kulayev's trial has brought stunning revelations. Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Nikolai Shepel was forced to admit that "Shmel" flame-throwers were used in the assault, after local mothers found several launch tubes and submitted them to the court. Mr. Shepel insisted the weapons fired only fuel-air explosives that day, rather than the incendiary napalm grenades they are also designed to use, and thus could not have caused the gym fire that killed most of the hostages.
But Stanislav Kesayev, who heads an investigation set up by North Ossetia's parliament, says that traces of napalm were found by medical examiners. "As the days go by, we see that the testimony of Kulayev and other information coming out at the trial is producing a very different view of what happened," he says. Tips to register as an Employer?

1. Open www.login4job.com
2. Click on Employers, and then click on Register Here in front of New Employer.
3. Enter Employers details to register as an Employer. Choose your Username and Password.
4. Click on submit button when you filled up the registration form.
5. After successful registration, a congratulation message will be displayed over. Click on login tofill up resume profile.
6. Now you need to submit the Username and Password you would have just submitted in registration form.Put here yourUsername and Passwordand click submit button.
7. Now you have options to add, edit or delete job requirements. You may also update your Profile submitted as an Employer.
8. To add any new vacancy, just click on add button, a new page will open. Here you need to fill up prescribed form by mentioning No. of Posts, Name of designation, Eligibility required by Applicant for the same post (level of education), with trade (Subject), minimum experience in the trade, Any additional qualification if required. You may also mention the last date for receipt of Applicants Profile and Date you seek interviews of Applicants. Click submit button after filling the columns.

How to Submit / edit / delete vacancy by an Employer?

1. If you need to add more vacancies, then repeat the same process by clicking on add.
2. If you need to edit any vacancy, you may select the vacancy you had added, click on Edit button and make the changes. Click on Submit to save the changes.
3. Similarly, if you need to delete the vacancy, select the vacancy you had submitted, click on delete button to delete the vacancy permanently from the database.

How to get free resumes for required Jobs?

After you submit your job requirements, our database will look for suitable resumes for the job requirements submitted by you. Each time when a jobseeker registers, the database checks with available jobs, out print the match. On Admins command e-mail goes to both employer and Jobseeker about the match result. The mail contains the name, e-mail, telephone and option to see further details at database. This helps the Employers and Jobseekers to interact with each other.

Note: - You need to be very specific about your level of education, subjects / trades, designation and experience because on these parameters the database will search resumes for your vacancy.

Employers may also send an attached (MS Word file) job requirement to the admin, which may be printed at our Jobstand page for general information to jobseekers. As this page is beside the database, it may enable unregistered jobseekers to apply you directly.

All the above services are 100% free for any employer. Further we want to state that we have thousands of prominent job applicants who have submitted their CVs for special consideration. If you wish we may sort these CVs for you and place you suitable candidates. But this is not a free service as it takes much time and could be charged nominally for this service.

Importance of zakat

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah s
Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: No owner of the treasure who does not
pay Zakat (would be spared) but (his hoards) would be heated in the Fire of Hell
and these would be made into plates and with these his sides, his forehead would
be cauterized till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants during a
day, the extent of which would be 50,000 years. He would then see his path,
leading either to Paradise or to Hell. And no owner of the camels who does not
pay Zakat (would be spared) but a soft sandy plain would be set for him and they
(the camels) would be made to pass over him till the last of them would be made
to return till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants during a day
the extent of which would be 50,000 years. He would then see his path leading
him to Paradise or leading him to Hell. And no owner of the (cattle and) goats
who does not pay Zakat (would be spared) but a soft sandy plain would be set for
him, he would find none of them missing, with twisted horns, without horns, or
with broken horns, and they will gore him with their horns and trample him with
their hoofs and they would be made to pass over him till the last of them would
be made to return till Allah would pronounce judgment among His servants, during
a day the extent of which would be 50,000 years, and he would see the paths
leading to Paradise or to Hell. Suhail said: I do not know whether he made
mention of the cows. They said: Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), what
about the horses? He said: The horses have goodness in their foreheads (or he
said) or goodness is ingrained in the foreheads of the horses (Suhail said: I am
in doubt as to what was actually said) up till the Day of judgment. The horses
are of three kinds. They are a source of reward to a person, they are a covering
to a person, and they are a burden to a person. As for those which bring reward
is that a person would get reward who rears them for the sake of Allah and
trains them for Him, and nothing disolves in their stomachs but Allah would
record for him a good deed. And if they were to graze in the meadow, they would
eat nothing but Allah would record for him a reward. And if they were to drink
water from the canal, with every drop that would get in their stomachs there
would be reward (for the owner). He went on describing till a reward was
mentioned for their urine and dung. And if they pranced a course or two, there
would be recorded a reward for every pace that they covered. As for one for whom
they are a covering, he is the man who rears them for honor and dignity but does
not forget the right of their backs and their stomachs, in plenty and adversity.
As regards one for whom they are a burden, he is that who rears them for
vainglory and showing off to the people; for him they are, the burden. They
said: Messenger of Allah, what about asses? He said: Allah has not revealed to
me anything in regards to it except this one comprehensive verse: He who does an
atom s weight of good will see it, and he who does an atom s weight of evil will
see it.

Since quite some time, I was suffering from heart Disease, after thorough Checkup, Tests Angiography, It is reveled that my 4 arteries are blocked by 60 to 90%. Doctors have recommended an Open Heart By Pass Surgery (CABG). this is a sort of Major Operation and it is Scheduled on Tuesday 20th sept 2005 at AKU by Dr. Sault Fatimi.

I being member ofThis Sweet Groupsince long time, and had contributed lot of stuff of common interest, without pointing to any particular member or community, As this moment is very critical in my life, I would like to apologies with folded hands and request ALL MEMBERS to forgive me, If any thing or word have offended to any member of
