Bismillah [IslamCity] Thought for the day
As Salaamu Alaikum The Virtue of Sweetness Just as eating and serving something sweet makes your taste buds feel sweetness, and for a while after, you remain happy, become sweet-natured yourself so that words filled with sweetness are constantly spoken. Such sweet words make both you and others happy. Use this method to always sweeten everyone's mouth; constantly maintain sweet attitude, sweet words and sweet actions. Bismillah [IslamCity] Who is Bernard Madoff, the man behind the $50 billion fraud?
Who is Bernard Madoff, the man behind the $50 billion fraud? http://www.bollyn.info/home/articles/911/another-massive-zionist-fraud-surfaces/ Written by Christopher Bollyn Friday, 12 December 2008 By Christopher Bollyn FRAUDSTER'S PARTNER IS LONG-TIME DIRECTOR OF ISRAEL'S NOTORIOUS MONEY-LAUNDERING BANK IN NEW YORK - SO, WHERE DID THE MONEY GO? Zionist treasurer faces home detention (he has a curfew between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m.), miniscule fine, and jail after stealing $50 billion. Why is Madoff not treated like a criminal, water-boarded in Gitmo, and interrogated? Why the special treatment? He should hire his own security? What kind of joke is this? The judge who has been so lenient with Madoff is Gabriel W. Gorenstein. It's all just one big lie. - Bernard Madoff to his sons about his $50 billion Ponzi scheme Fraudster Bernard L. Madoff was national treasurer of the American Jewish Congress and Yeshiva University (YU). His business partner at YU was Sy Syms, the long-standing director of the notorious Israel Discount Bank of New York, a bank charged for laundering tens of billions of dollars in 2005. So where did the $50 billion go? (This article has been read by more than 16,000 people; Dec. 24, 2008) If a string of similar crimes are committed in the same city by a gang of close associates from the same ethnic group with the same extremist political ideology, one would naturally think there could be a connection. This is precisely the case with the huge financial frauds that have struck New York investment banks, insurance companies, and hedge funds. All of the key players in the current financial crisis are Zionist Jews from a very small political/ethnic community in New York City. But don't expect CNN or the New York Times to fill you in on the details -- the owners of these institutions are part of the same community. I have been pointing out the Zionist connections in 9-11 for more than 7 years and the same connections behind the current financial crisis since September. I have been accused of being an anti-Semite because of my research. For American Zionists and philo-Semites who genuflect at the word Jew it seems that pointing out the Zionist Jew behind a crime is actually worse that the commission of the crime itself. Indoctrinated by the Zionist-controlled mass media, most Americans are simply unaware that all of the key players in 9-11 and the current financial crisis come from a very small club, i.e. the Zionist Jewish criminal gang in the United States and their comrades in Israel. The Zionist criminal network is global. The latest massive financial scandal is the giant $50 billion pyramid or Ponzi scheme run by a New York Zionist Jew, Bernard Lawrence Madoff. Madoff was chairman of the Syms business school at Yeshiva University with his partner, Sy Merns, a.k.a. Sy Syms, who has been a director at Israel Discount Bank (IDB) since 1991. The IDB bank is well known for its money laundering business. SYMS AND THE ISRAEL DISCOUNT BANK The IDB is the Israeli bank at the center of the 9-11 funding matrix connected to the Bronfman family and Israeli military intelligence. IDB is the Israeli financial institution at the center of the Zionist crimocracy. (See: The Architecture of Terror: Mapping the Israeli Network Behind 9-11, especially the section on Joseph Ciechanover, the former chairman of IDB's New York branch.) On January 31, 2006, a controlling interest in the Bank was acquired by an investor group led by Matthew Bronfman and Rubin Schron. The deal gave Bronfman ownership of IDB's wholly owned subsidiary, the Israel Discount Bank of New York. Bronfman is a younger brother of Edgar Bronfman Jr., chairman and CEO of Warner Music Group Corp. Matthew Bronfman (left) is the chairman of the board of the World Jewish Congress. He is the son of Edgar M. Bronfman (center), former president of the WJC. Here the Bronfmans stand with the newly elected president of the WJC, Ronald S. Lauder, after the Zionist organization known for corruption and financial irregularities held elections in New York, 10 June 2007. The Bronfman-Schron group paid $300 million for a 26% stake, with an option on a further 25%, in IDB. Regulators approved the transfer after the bank agreed to pay $25 million to settle a money-laundering probe of its New York unit by the Manhattan District Attorney and the New York State Banking Department. On Dec. 17, 2005, the New York Times reported that some $2.2 billion of illegal funds had been transmitted from Brazil through the IDB in New York (IDBNY) -- but that was just the tip of the iceberg. ISRAELI BANK LAUNDERED TENS OF BILLIONS The Jerusalem Post reported on November 2, 2006, that the scale of money-laundering going on at the Israeli bank was much, much larger than the Brazil case reported in the New York Times. The Post reported that U.S. regulators fined the

Bismillah [IslamCity] Islamic Law In Somalia
Bismillah Hir Rahmaan Nir Raheem Asssalaamu alaykum wa rahmatuallahi wa barakatuhu http://www.anwar-alawlaki.com/2008/12/21/salutations-to-al-shabab-of-somalia/ Salutations to al-Shabab of Somalia Posted (Anwar alAwlaki) in Imam Anwar's Blog on December-21-2008 We are following your recent news and it fills our hearts with immense joy. We would like to congratulate you for your victories and achievements. Al-Shabab not only have succeeded in expanding the areas that fall under their rule but they have succeeded in implementing the sharia and giving us a living example of how we as Muslims should proceed to change our situation. The ballot has failed us but the bullet has not. al-Shabab who are with limited resources in an impoverished country are a manifestation of what tawakul on Allah means. We see in them the meaning of “And whoever has taqwa, Allah will make a way out for him. And will provide for him from where he does not expect.” [al-Talaaq 2-3] The university of the battlefield that al-Shabab have chosen to study at, which is teaching them lessons in honor and steadfastness will prove to be a better tarbiyyah method than the Islamic universities run by Green Zone Scholars under governments headed by pimps that teach them the fiqh of weakness and humiliation. The university of Somalia will graduate an alumni of judges, administrators, enjoiners of good and forbiders of evil, capable and tested leaders, teachers, imams, and fighters who are hardened by the field and ready to carry on with no fear and hesitation. It will provide its graduates with the hands-on experience that the ummah greatly needs for its next stage. But their success depends on your support. It is the responsibility of the ummah to help them with men and money. Al-Shabab have already started a program of enforcement of law that would bring peace and security to the people. They are also applying hudud and fighting against innovations that have been around for centuries. We ask Allah to grant them success. I would like to take this opportunity to advise my brothers to be kind and soft with the masses; to excuse them for centuries of ignorance and false beliefs; to teach first and hold responsible last. I would advise you to go by certainty and to leave doubts; to prefer forgiveness over revenge. The masses of the people are suffering from the illnesses of tribalism, ignorance, and a campaign of defamation of sharia. Therefore you need to win the hearts and minds of the people and take them back to their fitrah. Dear brothers may Allah guide you and grant you victory. Only Allah knows that if my circumstances would have allowed I would not have hesitated in joining you and being a soldier in your ranks. Assalamu alaykum Your Brother Anwar al-Awlaki Surah Isra 17 verse 80 Say: O my Lord! let my entry be by the Gate of Truth and Honor and likewise my exit by the Gate of Truth and Honor; and grant me from Thy Presence an authority to aid (me). Bismillah [IslamCity] 72. Surah Al Jinn (The Jinn)
72. Surah Al Jinn (The Jinn) Name Al-Jinn is the name of this Surah as well as the title of its subject matter, for in it the event of the Jinn's hearing the Qur'an and returning to their people to preach Islam to them, has been related in detail. Period of Revelation According to a tradition related in Bukhari and Muslim, on the authority of Hadrat Abdullah bin Abbas, once the Holy Prophet (upon whom be peace) was going to Visit the Fair of Ukaz with some of his Companions, On the way be led the Fajr Prayer at Nakhlah. At that time a company of the jinn happened to pass that way. When they heard the Quran being recited, they tarried and listened to it attentively. This very event has been described in this Surah. Most of the commentators, on the basis of this tradition, believe that this relates to the Holy Prophet's well known journey to Taif, which had taken place three years before the Hijrah in the 10th year of the Prophethood. But this is not correct for several reasons. The jinn's hearing the Qur'an during the journey to Taif has been related in Al-Ahqaf 29-32. A cursory reading of those verses shows that the jinn who had believed after hearing the Qur'an on that occasion were already believers in the Prophet Moses and the previous scriptures. On the contrary, vv. 2- 7 of this surah clearly show that the jinn who heard the Qur'an on this occasion were polytheists and deniers of the Hereafter and Prophethood. Then, it is confirmed historically that in his journey to Taif none accompanied the Holy Prophet except Hadrat Zaid bin Harithah. On the contrary, concerning this journey Ibn Abbas says that the Holy Prophet (upon whom be peace) was accompanied by some of his Companions. Furthermore, the traditions also agree that in that journey the jinn heard the Qur'an when the Holy Prophet had stopped at Nakhlah on his return journey from Taif to Makkah, and in this journey, according to the traditions of Ibn Abbas, the event of the jinn's hearing the Qur'an occurred when the Holy Prophet was going to Ukaz from Makkah. Therefore, in view of these reasons what seems to be correct is that in Surah Al-Ahqaf and Surah Al Jinn, one and the same event has not been narrated, but these were two separate events, which took place during two separate journeys. As far as Surah Al-Ahqaf is concerned, it is agreed that the event mentioned in it occurred on the return journey from Taif in the 10th year of Prophethood. As for the question, when this second event took place, its answer is not given by the tradition of Ibn Abbas, nor any other historical tradition shows as to when the Holy Prophet had gone to the Fair of Ukaz along with some of his Companions. However, a little consideration of vv 8-10 of this surah shows that this could only be an event of the earliest stage of Prophethood. In these verses it has been stated that before the appointment of the Holy Prophet (upon whom be peace) to Divine Mission the jinn used to have one or another opportunity to eavesdrop in the heavens in order to hear news of the unseen, but after it they suddenly found that angels had been set as guards and meteorites were being shot on every side so that they could find no place of safety from where they could hear the secret news. Thereupon they had set about searching for the unusual thing that had occurred on the earth, or was going to occur, because of which the security measures had been tightened up. Probably since then many companies of the jinn must have been moving about in search of the unusual occurrence and one of them after having heard the Qur'an from the Holy Prophet (upon whom be peace) must have formed the opinion that that was the very thing for the sake of which all the gates of the heavens had been shut against the jinn. Reality of Jinn Before one starts the study of this Surah one must clearly know what is the reality of the jinn so as to avoid any possible mental confusion. Many people of the modern times are involved in the misunderstanding that the jinn are not real, but only a figment of the ancient superstition and myths. They have not formed this opinion on the basis that they have known all the realities and truths about the universe and have thus discovered that the jinn do not exist. They cannot claim to possess any such knowledge either. But they have assumed without reason and proof that nothing exists in the universe except what they can see, whereas the sphere of human perceptions as against the vastness of this great universe is not even comparable to a drop of water as against the ocean. Here, the person who thinks that what he does not perceive, does not exist, and what exists must necessarily be perceived, in fact, provides a proof of the narrowness of his own mind. With this mode of thought, not to speak of the jinn, man cannot even accept and acknowledge any reality, which he cannot directly experience and observe, and he cannot even

Bismillah [IslamCity] Kuffar Egypt tycoon plans new TV stations against Muslims
Egypt tycoon plans new TV stations against radicals Alaa Shahine, Reuters - Egypt Tuesday, November 6, 2007 Nov 6 (Reuters) - Egyptian billionaire and telecoms tycoon Naguib Sawiris plans to launch new television channels to counter what he describes as increasing social and religious conservatism in the Arab Muslim country. Sawiris, a Coptic Christian with a $10 billion fortune according to Forbes magazine, said he would launch a movie channel early in 2008 followed by an all-news station. He already owns OTV, a 24-hour entertainment channel. Speaking at a dinner for journalists late on Monday, Sawiris said he was disturbed by the rising number of women wearing the Islamic headscarf. I am not against the headscarf because then I would be against personal freedoms, he said. But when I walk in the street now I feel like I am in Iran... I feel like a stranger. Women in the Islamic Republic of Iran are obliged by law to cover their hair and wear long, loose-fitting clothes to disguise their figures. Egypt, a country dominated by Sunni Muslims, has seen a rise in religious conservatism since the 1990s. The majority of women wear headscarves in public. Some sociologists attribute this to the influence of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, where millions of Egyptians have worked and lived since the 1970s. Sawiris, who says he opposes radical Muslims and Christians alike, said his OTV channel has sought to counter the high dosage of religious and conservative programming on other channels by offering light shows targeting young people, along with uncensored Arab and foreign movies. BEYOND THE LIMITS If a movie is beyond the limits of the customs and traditions it wont be broadcast, he said. But if a movie is shown, it will not be censored. Most television channels in Egypt and the Arab world cut sexual scenes in movies and restrict offensive language. Sawiriss comments are likely to anger Islamists in Egypt, including the Muslim Brotherhood opposition group, which pushed unsuccessfully last year to oust Culture Minister Farouk Hosni for saying wearing the headscarf was a step backwards. The Egyptian billionaire, who owns a stake in Egypts popular daily newspaper Al Masry Al Youm, launched a scathing attack on the Brotherhood, which insists that non-Muslims and women are ineligible to run for the countrys presidency. To hell with them, he said. Not a single Christian is waiting for their permission. God is just. God does not discriminate between people. Sawiris, chairman of Orascom Telecom, the fourth largest Arab mobile phone operator by market value, is not known to have any political ambitions and has rarely expressed his political opinions in public. Independent media have challenged the dominance of state-run Egyptian press and television, which for decades has dictated what the public could read, watch or listen to. Privately-owned newspapers have pushed the boundaries in political reporting, attacking President Hosni Mubarak and his family. Private television, however, does not enjoy the same liberties. http://www.mafhoum.com/press10/310C36.htm COMMENTS: If this ungrateful Christian is disturbed by Muslim women wearing the Islamic headscarf and if he feels like he is in Iran and he feels like a stranger when he walks in the streets among Egyptians, who made him a billionaire, why doesn't he move to London or Paris or New York or even to Hell, where he will not see so many scarves. Of course he will not do that because his intention is to spread vice and sin in Muslim Egypt as foreign Christian Evangelists and missionary groups have been doing in the Muslim World for centuries. He is openly challenging Muslims and declaring war on Islaam from inside Egypt. The enemies of Islaam are challenging Muslims and attacking Islaam in the land of Islaam, while they live, breath the air, eat, sleep in peace and get rich among Muslims!
Bismillah [IslamCity] With brothers like these, who needs enemies?
With brothers like these, who needs enemies? Note: This piece was written before the latest Israeli massacres in Gaza Commentary by Khalid Amayreh December 28, 2008 There is more than just a whiff of hypocrisy in the way Arab states such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia as well as the American-backed Palestinian Authority (PA) are dealing with the continuing nightmare in the Gaza Strip. A fleeting examination of recent statements by Egyptian and Saudi officials indicate that the rulers of the two countries are effectively adopting the Israeli stance on the Gaza plight. For example, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit recently blamed Hamas for the collapse of the Egyptian-mediated tacit ceasefire understanding in Gaza, forgetting the obvious fact that it was Israel, not Hamas, that violated the ceasefire when Israeli forces carried out a deadly foray in Gaza in mid November, killing a number of Palestinian resistance fighters. Abul Gheit has also been oblivious to the fact that throughout the duration of the ceasefire (June 19-June19-2008), Israel kept up, even intensified, the cruel blockade of the Gaza Strip, pushing desperate Gazans to the edge of physical annihilation. Egypt, too, we must not forget, knowingly or unknowingly assisted Israel by making sure that the Rafah border crossing remained almost hermetically closed, so that the estimated 1.5 million Gazans would suffer and die both at the hands of Israeli Nazi Nazism and by brotherly Arab love and solidarity. I can't really understand why Egypt, the largest and most powerful Arab state, is behaving the way it is. Egyptian officials present a number of confused and inconsistent arguments to justify the scandalous stand of their government. They claim that the continued closure of the Rafah crossing was serving Palestinian national interests since opening the crossing would free Israel from its responsibility as an occupying power. This is a mendacious argument because all that Gazans want is to be able to buy food and consumer products from Egypt for survival. Occasionally, Egyptian officials defend their cruel treatment of Gazans seeking to get back to Gaza or get out of it for medical treatment by invoking the international agreement governing the operation of the border crossing. According to that infamous agreement, the Rafah border-crossing can only be opened with Israeli consent. Well, a scandalous agreement as such is not worth maintaining in the first place, since it gives Israel the right to besiege and strangle and starve Gazans to death, very much like the Nazis did at Ghetto Warsaw. I don't know if the Egyptian authorities are giving more weight to honoring a brazenly shameful agreement than to the survival of 1.5 million Palestinians who are being subjected to a slow-motion genocide because they dared elect a government that Israel and the Bush administration didn't like. Are agreements that effectively place the people of Gaza under the mercy of Israeli whims, cruelty and blood lust worth maintaining? This is a question that the leader of Egypt ought to answer faithfully and honestly. Last year, Abul Gheit claimed that Egypt was keeping the Rafah crossing closed based on a request to that effect by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. Well, but the Egyptian leadership should know better than just heeding instructions from a leader that is willing to go to any extent in order to appease the occupiers of his country and enemies of his people at the expense of his suffering people and their enduring just cause. Besides, Israel has been telling the world that it end its occupation of the Gaza Strip more than three years ago. If so, why is Egypt so reluctant to tell the Zionist regime and its American guardian-ally that Israel can't have it both ways, keeping Gaza under tight Israeli control and at the same time claim to have ended its occupation of the coastal enclave? Otherwise, Egypt is allowing itself to be party to the Israeli designs to annihilate the people of Gaza under the rubric of keeping the moribund peace process a live. More disturbing still is the silence with which Egyptian officials, including Abul Gheit, met the insolent remarks made by visiting Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in Cairo on Thursday, 25 December. Livni, the racist woman who earlier this month called for the expulsion of Israeli non-Jewish citizens to a prospective Palestinian entity on the West Bank, made a series of arrogant threats to destroy Hamas and end its rule in the Gaza Strip. Well, since when are such Judeo-Nazi leaders allowed to speak in this tone in the capital of the largest Arab state, the home of al-Azhar, without any retort by Egyptian leaders and spokesmen.? Is Egypt completely impotent, sterile, dead? And now to the ruling Saudi dynasty? It is really shameful that while the rulers of the desert Kingdom

Bismillah [IslamCity] We have no words left - Ali Abunimah - The Guardian
We have no words left Ali Abunimah, Electonic Intifada http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2008/dec/29/israel-gaza-attack-palestinian-reaction I will play music and celebrate what the Israeli air force is doing. Those chilling words were spoken on al-Jazeera on Saturday by Ofer Shmerling, an Israeli civil defence official in the Sderot area adjacent to the Gaza Strip. For days Israeli planes have bombed Gaza. Almost 300 Palestinians have been killed and a thousand injured, the majority civilians, including women and children. Israel claims most of the dead were Hamas terrorists. In fact, the targets were police stations in dense residential areas, and the dead included many police officers and other civilians. Under international law, police officers are civilians, and targeting them is no less a war crime than aiming at other civilians. Palestinians are at a loss to describe this new catastrophe. Is it our 9/11, or is it a taste of the bigger shoah Matan Vilnai, the deputy defence minister, threatened in February, after the last round of mass killings? Israel says it is acting in retaliation for rockets fired with increasing intensity ever since a six-month truce expired on 19 December. But the bombs dropped on Gaza are only a variation in Israel's method of killing Palestinians. In recent months they died mostly silent deaths, the elderly and sick especially, deprived of food, cancer treatments and other medicines by an Israeli blockade that targeted 1.5 million people - mostly refugees and children - caged into the Gaza Strip. The orders of Ehud Barak, the Israeli defence minister, to hold back medicine were just as lethal and illegal as those to send in the warplanes. Ehud Olmert, Israel's prime minister, pleaded that Israel wanted quiet - a continuation of the truce - while Hamas chose terror, forcing him to act. But what is Israel's idea of a truce? It is very simple: Palestinians have the right to remain silent while Israel starves them, kills them and continues to violently colonise their land. As John Ging, the head of operations for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, said in November: The people of Gaza did not benefit; they did not have any restoration of a dignified existence ... at the UN, our supplies were also restricted during the period of the ceasefire, to the point where we were left in a very vulnerable and precarious position and with a few days of closure we ran out of food. That is an Israeli truce. Any act of resistance including the peaceful protests against the apartheid wall in the West Bank is always met by Israeli bullets and bombs. There are no rockets launched at Israel from the West Bank, and yet Israel's extrajudicial killings, land theft, settler pogroms and kidnappings never stopped for a day during the truce. The western-backed Palestinian Authority of Mahmoud Abbas has acceded to all Israel's demands. Under the proud eye of United States military advisors, Abbas has assembled security forces to fight the resistance on Israel's behalf. None of that has spared a single Palestinian in the West Bank from Israel's relentless colonisation. The Israeli media report that the attack on Gaza was long planned. If so, the timing in the final days of the Bush administration may indicate an Israeli effort to take advantage of a moment when there might be even less criticism than usual. Israel is no doubt emboldened by the complicity of the European Union, which this month voted again to upgrade its ties with Israel despite condemnation from its own officials and those of the UN for the collective punishment being visited on Gaza. Tacit Arab regime support, and the fact that predicted uprisings in the Arab street never materialised, were also factors.
