Bismillah [IslamCity] Al-Khitab (Address Mode) & Al-Iltifat (Modal Switch)

In the Name of the One who gave all things their speech

Al-Khitab (Address Mode) & Al-Iltifat (Modal Switch)
http://www.untiredwithloving.org/khitab.html

Based upon the seminal work of Grand Sage Jalaled-Din Suyuti the
Addressing expressions of Qur’an are explored for the purpose of the
English reader to develop a ‘feel’ for the Prophetic Language,
without the need to become a scholar of Arabic.

http://www.untiredwithloving.org/khitab.html#Iltifat_contrast

The addressing modes of Qur’an are often switched, from one to the
other, and the purpose behind such modal-switches are explored via the
language of the ‘difference method’ of Alrfred North Whitehead in
Process & Reality and extended by the Sufism’s terminology of
Ta’ayyun (Contrast).

The purpose of the metaphysics is not to declare or determine a final
truth, for all truths reside with Al-Haqq (The Absolute Truth, Allah)
and none with any servants, the true purpose is to develop a LANGUAGE to
describe as wide as possible and as general as possible the
terminologies of Qur’anic addressing.

http://www.untiredwithloving.org/khitab.html#handedness

Peculiar ‘handedness’ is discovered within the address-switches of
Qur’an which indicates a sort of symmetry-breakage that resembles the
Homochirality of the organic molecules within the living organisms, as
Homochirality indicates the symmetry-breakage to support life, the
handedness of the Qur’anic modal-switches are there to support
spiritual life!

Bismillah [IslamCity] Re: Teachings of the Qur`aan: Al-Anfaal - Aayaat 50-58

2008-06-15 Thread Dara Shayda
Salaam and thank you for this post.

In specific the agreements with the disbelievers are those visa and
immigration/naturalization all of us have signed with the western
countries we have immigrated to.

Most Muslims have not read what they signed when they accepted the
permanent residencies and citizenships of countries like US.

In most those agreement the signer has agreed to abide by all the laws
of that country + not to take part in any activity against that
country + to defend the country against aggressors.

According to these verses and the Tafsir, if you have acquired e.g.
the green card of USA or their citizenship and you see that they are
cruelly killing the Muslims overseas in thousands, and if you are to
understand this as a clear violation of the agreement you had with
them when you became a resident or citizen, you must RETURN YOUR GREEN
CARD OR REVOKE YOUR CITIZENSHIP and seek another country where they
are not killing Muslims:

4:97 When angels take the souls of those who die in sin against their
souls, they say: "In what (plight) Were ye?" They reply: "Weak and
oppressed Were we in the earth." They say: "Was not the earth of Allah
spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (From evil)?" Such men
will find their abode in Hell,- What an evil refuge!

39:10 Say: "O ye my servants who believe! Fear your Lord, good is (the
reward) for those who do good in this world. Spacious is Allah's
earth! those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward
without measure!"

Yes this return of your papers after a lifetime of living in such
country is painful and full of loss, but when the angels take your
soul you are not ZAALIMI ANFUSIHIM those living in sins against
themselves, thus one sure path to the Fire blocked for you.

There are gangsters amongst us in the western countries who encourage
our beloved children to take part in illegal activities against the
very nations who granted us immigration. This is evil and un-befitting
the character of a Muslim:

4:135 O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to
Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and
whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both.
Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye
distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-
acquainted with all that ye do.

Let's stand firm on the side of justice and in these dark days that
very justice is FOR SURE against our own persons, against our parents,
against our immediate families, against the poor of us and the rich
us, for the evil is wide spread on this planet amongst all people.

It is befitting the Muslim to be poor and homeless and mocked by
people than to both eat from the unlawful (Haram) and busy himself
with criminal activities in a nation that gave him a refuge and a home
for his family.

Bismillah [IslamCity] Re: Now Open - Scholarships for Universities -Ummul-Qura, Madinah, Riyadh

2008-06-10 Thread Dara Shayda
Salaam

I was in Saudi Arabia for one year (2006) looking for opportunities to
learn Arabic. I visited all the listed universities in your ad and
found this:

1. Umul-Qura U, where I my apt was, had a center for teaching Arabic
to foreign students and it was simply LOCKED and looked dusty and unused.
2. I did find some Americans who were so called learning Arabic and
all ended up teaching English in Jeddah!
3. Met number of officials in the universities and none had interest
in teaching any measure of Arabic literature to the foreigners
4. A friend suggested to go to a local place were they taught Arabic
to the foreigners and it was nothing but a shady unprofessional ghetto
like place with no clear list of staff and objectives
5. I made friends with some of the Americans who were so called
learning Arabic in Saudi Arabia and all I heard were cheesy business
ideas and truly misguided individuals abused by the lack of discipline
and clear direction for the Prophetic Language.
6. Then totally disappointed appealed to some of the high school
principals and they introduced me to some university officials. On the
phone they made it clear that they want me to learn their DOGMA or
DOCTRINE of how Islam should be implemented, for 4 years and then upon
their approval of my person, I would be allowed to study serious
Arabic under their group.
7. I told them that I am a Kafir a disbeliever from America and would
like to PAY to learn Arabic and learn Islam through the original
Prophetic Language, while I agree to follow all the Islam rules in the
university. They denied me any help and cooperations. (obviously they
knew I was not a Kafir but...)
8. I flew to Riyadh... same story
9. Finally I made friends with some generous students at Ummul-Qura U,
we made an exchange I practiced conversational English with them and
they housed me on campus and taught me Arabic that I needed.

I returned at the end of 2006, purchased all the grammar books
necessary for my research and may Allah forgive highly paid university
officials in Saudi Arabi for neglecting their duties.

I must say, the Royal family, may Allah bless them, paid the
universities in FULL to teach and research not just Arabic but all
sciences, but the lazy sluggish and job-protecting university
officials denied the Royal family to see a return on their investment.

Bismillah [IslamCity] Re: Expansion of Haram Ordered - Prices to soar - Demolitions Begins

2008-05-07 Thread Dara Shayda
Salaam

No matter what happens there, it is incumbent upon us to cooperate and
help the local authorities, regardless of our ethnic or political
differences. These are sacred grounds and the meaning of SACRED
(Haram) means there should be no fighting or arguing upon this land.

> Al-Dahlawi, however, pointed out that low-income people, including
pilgrims, would find it difficult to get accommodation close to the
Haram after the demolitions.

There is plenty of space for the poor to sit and lay down and rest
around the Haram and the Yard outside. People should not treat these
grounds as vacation sites and unfortunately both the poor and the rich
they mistreat these grounds like a regular park.

You do not go there to relax and eat and drink, you go there to
remember Allah and Messenger.

I ask Allah to guide the Suadi authorities and the local merchants to
treat these lands with care and caress that they deserve and may Allah
reward them for their good and forgive their evil.

My name is Dara O Shayda and I mostly translate the ancient works of

I am not a member of any Tariqa or affiliated with any groups. The

which are gems of Islamic knowledge long forgotten by us.

Let me show you some recent works, if you like them, I will contribute
here otherwise may Allah's peace be with you:

Eight Gates of Paradise
