*251 U.S. Congress Members Send Bush Impeachment Resolution To House Judiciary Committee*
(InformPress.com) - U.S. Representatives voted 251 (Yes) to 166 (No) (not voting 16) on Wednesday, 11 June 2008 to send the Bush impeachment resolution (H. Res. 1258) of U.S. Congressman (D-OH) Dennis J. Kucinich to the House Judiciary Committee. The Kucinich Resolution, which lists 35 crimes of Bush, urges the House to impeach U.S. 43rd (Republican) President George W. Bush for high crimes and misdemeanors, which were committed by America's most infamous Israeli-Zionist War Criminal during the last 8 years (2001-2008) of his corrupt tyranny. U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich released the following statement Wednesday after the House approved his motion to refer to the House Judiciary Committee Articles of Impeachment of President Bush: "The sheer volume of the Articles required a referral to provide Members with an opportunity for review. It is now imperative that the Judiciary Committee begin a review of the 35 Articles. I will be providing supporting documentation to the Committee so that it can proceed in an orderly manner. The weight of evidence contained in the Articles makes it clear that President Bush violated the Constitution and the U.S. Code as well as International law. "It is the House's responsibility as a co-equal branch of government to provide an effective check and balance to executive abuse of power. President Bush was principally responsible for directing the United States Armed Forces to attack Iraq. The June 5th Senate Intelligence report convinced me it was time to act. "In a report just released, the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, [U.S.] Senator Jay Rockefeller, said: 'In making the case for war, the Administration repeatedly presented intelligence as fact when in reality it was unsubstantiated, contradicted, or even non-existent. As a result, the American people were led to believe that the threat from Iraq was much greater than actually existed.' "I believe that there is sufficient evidence in the Articles to support the charge that President Bush allowed, authorized and sanctioned the manipulation of intelligence by those acting under his direction and control, misleading Congress to approve a resolution authorizing the use of force against Iraq. As a result over 4,000 United States soldiers have died in combat in Iraq, with tens of thousands injured, many of them permanently impaired. Over a million innocent Iraqis have perished in a war which was based on lies, a war which will cost the American taxpayers as much as three trillion dollars." "Now it is incumbent for the Judiciary Committee to review the evidence. If it fails to hold any hearings on the resolution within the next thirty days, given the gravity of the charges and the moment, I will once again bring a similar privileged resolution of Impeachment to the House. We must not only create an historical record of the misconduct of the Bush Administration but we must make sure that any future Administration is forewarned about the Constitutionally proscribed limits of executive authority and exercise of power contravening the Constitution." -- http://kucinich.house.gov U.S. Congressman Robert Wexler: -- http://wexler.house.gov On Tuesday, 10 June 2008, U.S. Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL), a senior Member of the House Judiciary Committee, co-sponsored the Kucinich Resolution (H. Res. 1258). U.S. Rep. Wexler said: The Articles of Impeachment outline numerous allegations against President Bush, including his creation of a massive propaganda campaign to mislead the [American] nation into war with Iraq, the illegal use of torture during interrogation, the authorization of a warrantless wiretapping program on American citizens and the repetitive use of signing statements to negate legislation passed by Congress. Congressman Wexler went on to say: "President Bush deliberately created a massive propaganda campaign to sell the war in Iraq to the American people and the charges detailed in this impeachment resolution indicate an unprecedented abuse of executive power. A decision by Congress to pursue impeachment is not an option, it is a sworn duty. It is time for Congress to stand up and defend the Constitution against the blatant violations and illegalities of this Administration. Our Founding Fathers bestowed upon Congress the power of impeachment and it is now time that we use it to defend the rule of law from this corrupt Administration." This year U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler launched a nationwide campaign to hold impeachment hearings for U.S. (Republican) Vice President and Israeli-Zionist War Criminal Dick Cheney. He has also called for inherent contempt for Karl Rove for ignoring subpoenas to testify. Congressman Wexler also led an effort to bring Scott McClellan before the U.S. House of Representatives to testify about the devastating revelations made in his recently released book. U.S. Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey: -- http://woolsey.house.gov U.S. Congresswoman Lynn C. Woolsey (D-CA), the Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, issued her following statement on Wednesday, 11 June 2008, about the Kucinich Resolution regarding 35 Articles of Impeachment against President Bush. Woolsey is a supporter of the House Resolution 1258. "Five years ago, President Bush undertook a deliberate and concerted campaign to send our nation to war against Iraq. This was not a war of necessity, but a war of choice. President Bush manipulated the intelligence in order to convince the Congress, and the American public, that Iraq represented a clear and present danger to our national security. A threat so grave, we were told, that continued diplomatic efforts would lead to mushroom clouds. "There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and no terrorist connections between Saddam Hussein and [fictitious] Al-Qaeda. However, there is ample evidence to suggest that President Bush planned to invade Iraq long before Congress gave him the authorization to do so and that he undertook a campaign to manipulate the intelligence regarding Iraq's supposed weapons program. "More than 4,000 brave men and women [of America] have paid for President Bush's mistake with their lives. And tens of thousands of others will forever bear the physical and mental wounds of war. As a co-equal branch of government the Congress owes it to each one of them, and their families, to hold those who led us to war under false pretences accountable." ** *US Rep. Dennis Kucinich Introduces Bush Impeachment Resolution* http://groups.yahoo.com/group/informpress/message/2 -- http://kucinich.house.gov By SYED ADEEB (InformPress.com) - U.S. Congressman (D-OH) Dennis J. Kucinich introduced his 35-point resolution (H. Res. 1258), co-sponsored by U.S. Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL), in the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday, 9 June 2008, which seeks to impeach U.S. 43rd (Republican) President George W. Bush for high crimes and other illegal or criminal acts. U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, the former Democratic presidential contender from Ohio, told the 110th U.S. Congress that President Bush, who is also known across the whole world as America's most infamous Israeli-Zionist War Criminal, is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors; therefore, the U.S. House must impeach Bush and the U.S. Senate must prosecute him and remove Bush from the office of the U.S. President, because he has committed many barbarous crimes during the last 8 years (2001-2008) of his corrupt tyranny. Addressing the House Speaker, U.S. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), America's Congressman Dennis Kucinich said: "The form of the resolution is as follows: "Resolved, that President George W. Bush be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate: "Articles of impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America, in maintenance and support of its impeachment against President George W. Bush for high crimes and misdemeanors. "In his conduct while President of the United States, George W. Bush, in violation of his constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has committed the following abuses of power."
