James Dailey commented on FINERACT-204:
---------------------------------------

This has been open for a long time. We're closing this ticket and similar
related to Cashier or Teller operations. If there is a group of people wanting
to work on this as part of the current roadmap activities (Q4 2022), then
please make a note and suggest how to approach the design.

One thought is that the core Fineract application should not be involved in
cash handling but rather there should be an outside Teller Management and
Cashier operational module that connects to the core APIs. This would
potentially be an area of new development.

> Design a small page for cashiers - Teller Cash Management other than the
> admin user page
> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: FINERACT-204
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-204
> Project: Apache Fineract
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Reporter: Ippez Roberts
> Priority: Major
>
> As a cashier, when i have been assigned to a teller, i don't need to go
> through the Admin>Organisation>Teller Cash Management menu and further drill
> down to select a teller and the select my name as a cashier - Even able to
> see other Tellers/cashiers
> Its hectic, suppose we have about 10 tellers, how will i know to which teller
> i have been assigned?
> So when i have been assigned to a teller, there should be user friendly menu
> to just the cashier details (page where your have Allocate Cash, Settle Cash,
> and View/Print my transactions. That's all for a cashier's page.
> Suggestion, maybe during user creation, include "Is Cashier" like what we
> have for a "Is Loan Office" such that that page is only accessed when the
> flag "Is Cashier" is turned on.
> And also when settling Cash, there should be validation of balances check ie.
> Allocation Cash+ Cash In - Cash Out = Cash at Hand(real cash with the
> cashier) - So there should be provision to enter Cash at Hand
