Are there any objections to merging this? I think the arguments on mailing
list/jira sounded reasonable and you probably know this part of Flink best,

[FLINK-3208] [gelly] rename vertex-centric iteration model to scatter-gather
This is the first step to introducing a Pregel abstraction in Gelly.
