Please consider doing a release soon of maven-archetype-quickstart 1.2,
especially for the explicit source level. MCOMPILER-80 means that Maven 3 will
be passing -source 1.5 rather than -source 1.3 by default, which could be a
confusing discrepancy for developers who do not realize they should specify a
source level (especially given the lack of a warning as recommended by
MCOMPILER-125).
