a large number of unneeded dependencies are distributed with Archiva (or if
they are needed, we might want to review why).
For example: ant-optional (probably for jsp compiler), commons-logging impl +
slf4j + log4j, xerces, jtidy, jdom, dom4j, commons-jxpath, jaxen, jta (we have
geronimo-jat already), classworlds (we have plexus-classworlds already),
backport (we require JDK 5, no need for this).
I'm also uncertain if all the maven libraries are still needed.
