from a technologist perspective, using a canonical id looks better

from a user experience perspective, it means that instead of seeing 
"artifactId:version", it will be "groupId:artifactId:version": is it really a 
better UX?

can we share in the description the initial output and the target output to 
really see the changes and judge the improvement from a user visible point of 
view?
